As a QA Associate at Binocs, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our software products. With a direct reporting line to the QA Lead, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and executing test plans to identify software issues. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in engineering, experience in fintech or finance software companies, and a passion for quality assurance and detail-oriented testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Plan Development: Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure software quality.
• Issue Documentation: Document and track bugs, as well as collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Software Validation: Validate that product features meet requirement specifications and are free of defects.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product management and development teams to understand product vision and deliver software that aligns with customer and market needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within fintech or finance software companies.
• Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA metrics, including bug tracking and reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client System Setup: Assist in configuring and setting up the loan management system for new clients, ensuring that it aligns with their financial data and requirements.
• Integration Support: Work with clients to integrate our loan management product into their existing financial systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, or core banking systems), ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
• Financial Calculations & Modelling: Perform the necessary financial calculations required for loan management system setup, including interest rates, payment schedules, amortization, and loan servicing terms. Ensure the calculations are aligned with the client's financial structures and compliance standards.
• Testing & Validation: Run test cases to verify that all calculations, reports, and system integrations are functioning correctly. Identify and troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues during integration.
• Data Reconciliation: Ensure that data integration between the loan management system and the client’s existing systems is accurate. Perform data reconciliation and ensure financial transactions align correctly across systems.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of client setups, integration processes, and financial calculations for internal reference and future support. Generate reports to monitor and validate integration success.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the product, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure smooth implementation and integration. Provide feedback on system performance and suggest improvements based on client needs.
• Ongoing Support: Provide post-integration support, including troubleshooting, answering client inquiries, and assisting with system upgrades or modifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, systems integration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial calculations related to loans, interest rates, and amortization.
• Basic knowledge of B2B SaaS, with an understanding of how SaaS products are integrated into client systems.
• Familiarity with loan management systems, financial reporting, or accounting software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling; experience with financial tools or software is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to perform complex calculations and troubleshoot system integration issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and work with clients directly.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces for web applications using React.js .

Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

Optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Knowledge of bundling tools and dynamic loading of components.

Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and technologies.

Share/enhance insights and talent in a collaborative work environment responsible for building quick prototypes

What makes you a great fit:

3-5 years of experience developing UI applications

Must be proficient with ReactJS

Knowledge in one of react frameworks with server components is an added advantage like Next. JS, Remix.

Experience with popular React.js state management libraries (such as Redux or Zustand)

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

Must be proficient with HTML/CSS and responsiveness.

Exposure to a variety of UI frameworks is a strong plus, specifically AngularJS and/or EmberJS

Experience with TypeScript a plus

Experience with testing frameworks such as JEST is a plus

Work closely with the designers, backend engineers to build a holistic user experience. Help define and interact with REST based API's.

Exposure to Web Security, Microservices, AWS components, and Cloud concepts a plus

Responsibilities -

• Be a part of the initial team to define and set up a best-in-class digital platform for the Private Credit industry, and take full ownership of the components of the digital platform
• You will build robust and scalable web-based applications and need to think of platforms & reuse
• Driving and active contribution to High-Level Designs(HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Mentor team members in adopting effective coding practices. Conduct comprehensive code reviews, focusing on both functional and non-functional aspects.
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of backend systems through proper testing, monitoring, and optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development processes to maintain code quality and project timelines.
• Simply, be an owner of the platform and do whatever it takes to get the required output for customers
• Be curious about product problems and have an open mind to dive into new domains eg: gen-AI.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications -

• 3-5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong track record of successfully architecting and implementing scalable and high-performance backend systems.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g.,Python, Golang, Node.js, Java) & tech stack to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code.
• Good understanding of databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with multi-threading and concurrency programming
• Extensive experience in object-oriented design skills, knowledge of design patterns, and huge passion and ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces.
• Experience of cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development

Good to have-

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of serverless computing and event-driven architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
