The team is building an intelligent platform that helps law firms streamline work across the entire legal lifecycle, including document screening, drafting, filing, research, compliance, and other high-value legal workflows.

We're looking for engineers who want to build products from first principles, move quickly, and help define the future of AI in legal technology.

About the role

We're hiring a Founding Software Engineer to help build the core platform from the ground up.

This is a high-ownership role. You'll work across backend systems, AI infrastructure, product architecture, and deployment, collaborating directly with the founders to design and ship features that reach customers quickly.

What You'll Build

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python (FastAPI or Django), or Node.js
• Experience working with at least one database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or another relational database
• Understanding of modern AI application architecture, including concepts such as: Agentic systems AI SDKs Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Prompt engineering Evaluation frameworks (Evals)
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills
• Ability to ship production-quality software quickly
• High ownership and bias toward execution
• Comfortable learning new technologies as the product evolves

Nice to Have

• Experience building products in Compliance, FinTech, RegTech, or LegalTech
• Experience deploying and operating AI-powered production systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern deployment workflows
• Experience working in an early-stage startup

6+ Years of development in Database technologies preferably DB2, Sybase or Oracle.

Python Scripting, Database/SQL, Databricks/Cloud experience

Strong understanding of RDBMS databases, JDBC, and database access technologies (Sybase, DB2 preferred but not required).

Strong SQL and database programming skills; including creating Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, implementing Referential Integrity.

Experience with Database concepts, Data Analysis, Database Design, Data Warehousing concepts and working knowledge of Dimensional Modelling.

Excellent problem solving skills & good communication skills.

Willingness to take lead, own & drive things end to end independently

Desired Skills.

Knowledge of Financial domain.

Scripting languages like Perl, Python.

Prior knowledge of working in Agile model

Excellent skills in writing about complex technical and business subjects to a variety of audiences.

ü  Be able to think like a user and create intuitive documentation as and when needed to create succinct documentation

• Your Role and Responsibilities

1. Your main job involves creating new features on the visible parts of a website using React.js.
2. You'll be building reusable components that can be used again in the future, saving time and effort.
3. Designs for the website will be given to you, and you'll convert them into actual working and visually appealing website elements.
4. You'll ensure that the website works smoothly on various devices like phones, tablets, and computers.

• Skills and Traits We're Seeking

1. You have a strong understanding of React.js and its workings.
2. You're skilled in a JavaScript
3. Experience with common React.js workflows like Flux or Redux is important.
4. You're familiar with RESTful APIs.
5. Knowledge of modern security measures like JSON Web Token is important.
6. You're comfortable using tools that streamline the process of building website elements, such as Babel, Webpack, and NPM.
7. Translating business requirements into technical plans for the website comes naturally to you.
8. You've used version control tools like Git or SVN to manage and track changes in code.

• Expected Experience

1. You should have accumulated 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in this field.

• 3 - 6 years of software development, and operations experience deploying and maintaining multi-tiered infrastructure and applications at scale.
• Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
• Experience managing any distributed NoSQL system (Kafka/Cassandra/etc.)
• Experience with Containers, Microservices, deployment and service orchestration using Kubernetes, EKS (preferred), AKS or GKE.
• Strong scripting language knowledge, such as Python, Shell
• Experience and a deep understanding of Kubernetes.
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery.
• Work collaboratively with software engineers to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
• Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

• Coordinating the involvement of additional departments (cross functional), including sales, customer service and management resources if necessary, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations
• Meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in the partner accounts
• Proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating partner needs on an ongoing basis
• Identifying, advising and assisting in implementing new or improved products, processes and procedures
• Leading solution development efforts that best address merchant and partner needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary departments
• Identifying key new partners and securing the relationship
• Taking care of all commercial and contractual negotiations with the partners
• Closing partnership agreements while properly balancing company goals, speed, and economic potential in delivering actual results
• Ensuring efficient and effective boarding and implementation of new partners, working closely with the partner’s sales and technical organization
• Taking designated targets for new accounts and getting them added to the pool target to deliver in the planned and promised timelines
• Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly report of performance and presenting it to the Vertical Head

Desired Candidate Profile

• MBA with Minimum 3 yrs+ proven track record in partner relationship management or Key Accounts Management
• Alliance or Lending experience is a plus
• Ability to articulate complex issues clearly to partners, management and internal departments
