Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:
• Provide technical leadership by guiding and mentoring software engineers in creating robust and scalable solutions.
• Lead the recruitment process to identify and onboard top-tier engineering talent.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the technical team.
• Architectural Vision:
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership, senior technical stakeholders, and product managers to shape the architectural vision and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical design discussions and contribute hands-on expertise to development efforts.
• Drive the evolution of development processes, establish meaningful metrics, and cultivate a team culture emphasizing technical excellence.
• Lead POCs and technical evaluations
• Hands-on Technical Involvement:
• Demonstrate deep technical involvement through direct contributions to the codebase, technical design discussions, and the development of domain expertise.
• Utilize your extensive experience to guide the team in developing large-scale distributed systems, employing languages such as Java, Python, C++, Ruby, Go, or JavaScript.

• Leverage a background in DevOps to oversee the operational aspects of widely deployed SaaS products.

Must-Have:

• Managerial and Technical Expertise:
• Possess 3+ years of managerial experience and a solid 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrate prior success in leading and growing cross-functional development teams of 10-20 individual contributors.
• Software Delivery Excellence:
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software within tight deadlines, emphasizing agility in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Hands-on experience developing and designing large-scale distributed systems using languages like Java, Python, C++, Ruby, Go, or JavaScript.
• DevOps and SaaS Background:
• Background in DevOps with experience in the operation of widely deployed SaaS products.

Expected Skills :- 

1. Abillity to write API calls that work efficiently in the background
2. Ideally worked with Realm DB but SQLLite is fine 
3. Ability to take a design and create a replica using programmatic code. We don't use Storyboard. 
4. Should have great knowledge of Architecture patterns like MVC, MVVM 
5. Ability to work with Notifications 
6. ideally should have worked on Extensions
7. Excellent debugging skills
8. Excellent problem solving skills 
9. should understand how to make asyncronous non blocking API calls. 
10. Having worked on a Chat application that uses Websockets, or XMPP or Firebase would be a big bonus .
11. Having worked with OAuth2 flows or Google apis would alos be a big bonus

Personal Skills 
1. Go getter attitude. Should look for things that can improve and then go ahead and make them better. 

How we hire? 

You typically do a project that can be completed within a week. If the quality is great, we will pay you for it. Sometimes that's good enough. Sometimes we may to a problem solving / algorithm interview after that. 

1. We are looking for candidates who have good programming skills. Strong on data structures, algorithms, understand time space complexity, able to come up with multiple solutions and then arrive at most optimized one keeping in mind customer requirements. Should also be well aware of OO concepts. If he / she has a strong background on these areas ( in any programming language), half the job is done. – 50% weightage
2. Next the candidate should have worked on JS  with good hands on experience in a few projects mainly in backend development like making api calls, handling exception, models, data transformations, controllers etc.  – 20-30% weightage
3. The last would be having some experience in any one of react.js/ node.js or even angular.js since some of these are being used in the current project. – 20-30% weightage
4. Prefer candidates with Angular (ver 8+), react (ver 16+), Node (Ver 14+) and extremely good in JavaScript, HTML & CSS
5. Experience : 4-6 years relevant

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Build a high-quality web application from scratch.
• Responsive and adaptive web page implementation.
• Identify and communicate best practices for back-end engineering.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code to ensure the applications' best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness.

Desired Skills:

• Good working knowledge of PHP-based MVC framework Laravel.
• Good knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS & Javascript and understanding of Database concepts & working knowledge of MySQL.
• A clear understanding of RESTful API development standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec)
