Business Analyst I JD for ‘Business Analyst - I’ Resource Experience Required - 6 to 8 years Location - India Summary The ‘Business Analyst’ works closely with the business and technical teams. This role is a major contributor to the requirements specification deliverable, writes the business and functional requirements and ensures the analytical, build, test and deployment tasks related to both internally developed as well as third party solutions are successfully completed. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities. The BA understands software development processes and is very analytical with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues. Key Duties and Responsibilities Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements. Create detailed requirements documents and translate into functional specifications Performs feasibility analysis, scope projects, and work with project management teams to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate product functionalities. Participates in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing. Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to the product team. Own and develop relationship with partners and work with them to optimize and enhance integration. Partner with multiple teams to develop overall solution design, costing and business case Communicate key insights and findings to the product team. Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer (User Experience Analysis). Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of the client and the organization. Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback relative to the service, function and/or product. Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and deliver recommendations for strategic and operational improvements. Gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing recommendations to the business. Business Analyst – I Communicate the benefits of the recommendations across departments and take lead to address if any uncertainty and concern. Produce written documentation to support the work, report on the findings and to present to the stakeholders when necessary. Support the staff and teams in making recommended changes, including assisting in RCA and issue risk mitigation preparation. Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation. Monitor and control scope creep as well as manage changing requirements. Maintain collaboration and core understanding to avoid any type of rework. Share knowledge and learnings from past project experience, seek guidance from Senior BA/s as necessary. Educational Qualification & Experience Required 6 - 8 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst. Bachelor’s Degree required with a preference in Computer Science. Experience eliciting requirements and testing. Demonstratable experience analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions Background in data modelling and visualization techniques as well as prototyping tools. In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Solid knowledge agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. Proven experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria. Prior experience validating functional and user acceptance test cases. Thorough understanding in contact centre processes, contact centre KPIs and related metrics. Knowledge of automated dialers. ACD systems, OMNI Channel Solutions & CTI. Good knowledge of Data Analysis, SQL – DML commands. Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills. CBAP or equivalent preferred. Prior experience and understanding of Agile Methodology preferred. Prior work experience within BPO or KPO domain preferred.
