Job Description

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sales Manager to lead FMCG expansion across Modern Trade, Quick Commerce, HoReCa, and E-commerce (Amazon) channels. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales acumen with operational discipline, brand understanding, and team leadership to drive growth and profitability across verticals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute sales strategies across Modern Trade, Quick Commerce, HoReCa, and E-commerce channels.
• Drive Quick Commerce tie-ups (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, etc.) ensuring consistent fill rates, visibility, and on-time delivery.
• Expand and manage Modern Trade business – new tie-ups, branding opportunities, and store-level execution.
• Acquire and manage HoReCa accounts, ensuring strong partnerships and growth.
• Explore and onboard new retail store tie-ups and distributors to strengthen reach and market penetration.
• Maintain vertical-wise P&L accountability, ensuring profitability across all sales channels.
• Monitor and reconcile payment cycles as per company policy.

E-Commerce & Brand Coordination

• Oversee Amazon listings and catalog management, ensuring products are correctly priced, described, and optimized.
• Maintain online hygiene – accurate inventory, images, descriptions, ratings, and timely customer query responses.
• Coordinate with marketing for creatives, offers, product launches, and campaign rollouts.
• Identify and execute branding opportunities within partner stores and online marketplaces.

Team & Operations

• Conduct regular store and market visits to ensure visibility, placement, and compliance.
• Train, mentor, and develop the sales and promoter team to enhance performance and product knowledge.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely supply and collections.
• Collaborate with operations for smooth delivery logistics and minimal wastage.
• Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and category feedback to guide business strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA / Master’s in Marketing preferred.
• 5–7 years of FMCG (Food) sales experience — experience in Modern Trade / E-commerce / Quick Commerce / HoReCa is essential.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Hands-on experience in Amazon / online retail operations preferred.
• Analytical mindset with sound knowledge of market trends, pricing, and brand visibility strategies

Job Profile:

1. Manage all online activities pertaining to sales on leading e-commerce portals such as Amazon, First Cry, Flipkart, Big Basket, Gofers and Nykaa, Purplle, Myntra etc.
2. Coordinate with various e-portals to prepare a plan for periodic sales increments.
3. Should be an expert in cataloguing (Listings, A+, Variations) and order processing.
4. Should have problem-solving skills when it comes to account health / Catalogue health.
5. Design a strategy to increase sales and visibility at different websites.
6. In coordination with logistics to ensure proper supply at different warehouses.
7. Keep a check on warehouse stock and provide estimated sales requirements to the production team to avoid a shortfall in stock.
8. In the need market, combo and discount strategy is to be designed for getting maximum sales.
9. Meet up with marketplace agencies to get maximum visibility and sales volume.
10. Ensure 360-degree operational efficiency up to the dispatch of goods from the warehouse.
11. Well-versed in dealing with e-commerce category managers for product placement and visibility.
12. Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills

You will be responsible for handling architecting, design, development, testing, leading the software development team and working toward infrastructure development that will support the company’s solutions. · Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React with TypeScript for the frontend and Node.js/Python for the backend.

· API Development & Optimization: Build and optimize high-performance REST APIs in Node.js and Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI) to support real-time data processing and analytics.

· Database Engineering: Design, manage, and optimize data storage using relational (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB), graph, and vector databases for handling complex industrial data.

· Cloud-Native Deployment: Deploy, monitor, and manage services in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes on Linux-based systems (Ubuntu/Debian).

· System Architecture & Design: Contribute to architectural decisions, leveraging OOPs, microservices, domain-driven design, and design patterns to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.

· Data Handling & Processing: Work with large-scale manufacturing datasets using Python (pandas) to enable predictive analytics and AI-driven insights.

· Collaboration & Agile Delivery: Partner with cross-functional teams—including product managers, manufacturing domain experts, and AI researchers—to translate business needs into technical solutions.

· Performance & Security: Ensure robust, secure, and high-performance software by implementing best practices in algorithms, data structures, and system design.

· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI, SaaS, and manufacturing systems to propose innovative solutions that enhance product capability.

Must have worked on these technologies.

· 5+ years of experience working with React-Typescript, node.js on a production level

· Python, pandas, High performance REST APIs in node and Python (in Django or Flask or Fast API)

· Databases: Relational DB like PostgreSQL, No SQL DB like Mongo or Dynamo DB, Vector databases, Graphs DBs

· OS: Linux flavor like Ubuntu, Debian
