Backend Developer

We’re seeking a Back-End Developer with hands-on experience in Node.js or any other modern backend framework. You’ll be responsible for building robust, scalable APIs and server-side logic powering Zilo’s high-velocity quick commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize back-end applications and APIs.

Work on microservices, API integrations, and data modeling.

Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance under high traffic.

Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers for seamless API integration.

Implement best practices in code quality, security, and database design.

Troubleshoot production issues and support deployment cycles.

Technical Skills Required

Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, or similar backend frameworks.

Experience in MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and middleware.

Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or other deployment environments.

Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of other programming languages like Python, Java, or Go is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django with migration experience).
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming in Python.
• Working knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• should have a solid background in backend development, RESTful API design, and scalable application development.

Shift: Night Shift 6:30 pm to 3:30 AM IST

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent area
• 10 to 20 years of experience in software development
• Hands-on experience designing and building B2B or B2C products
• 3+ years architecting SaaS/Web based customer facing products, leading engineering teams as software/technical architect
• Experiences of engineering practices such as code refactoring, microservices, design and enterprise integration patterns, test and design-driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application and infrastructure security
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience with AWS and/or Azure
• Experience building event driven systems and working with message queues/topics
• Broad working experience across multiple programming languages and frameworks with in-depth experience in one or more of the following: .Net, Java, Scala or Go-lang
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL and document stores like Elasticsearch or MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with Big Data processing technologies like Hadoop/Spark is a plus
• Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Agile software development process

• 3 - 5 years of progressive IT experience with a minimum of 1+ years in building Ruby on Rails Web applications and RESTful API endpoints
• Proficient with scripting languages, specifically Python and Bash
• Experience in Object Oriented Java Script.
• Must have Linux command line experience.
• Good experience in developing and integrating reliable REST web services.
• Possess good communication, organizational and creative thinking skills.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a self-motivated Unreal Engine developer who understands the value of working on unique applications and is extremely passionate about innovating and inventing/discovering new things. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our platform lineup. The key responsibilities of the job are:

• Perform full life-cycle software development
• (Requirements: analysis, Tech design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support).
• Work directly with researchers and project stakeholders to ensure proper software design and delivery.
• Design and develop modular platforms.
• Stay updated on current trends in AR/VR/MR/XR.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code in rapid timing.

Credentials we are looking for:

• (Senior UE Developer) 5 years+ of experience with game development and at least 3 years of experience with Unreal Engine

• High-Level C++ skills within Unreal Engine 4 and outside.

• Strong experience of developing multi-threaded and synchronization application
• Demonstrated delivery experience of Micro services APIs using Springboot, Oracle PL/SQL development and activities like Performance tuning / Optimization.
• Experience of using Git/Bitbucket, Maven/Bamboo, & related tools.
• Good Understanding of Agile Delivery Methodology & experience in working with Scrum teams.
