
We are seeking a Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role involves deploying, managing, and optimizing Azure resources while ensuring their security, performance, and compliance. The engineer collaborates with clients, cross-functional teams, and senior engineers to provide exceptional support for our managed services client portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of Azure resources, including virtual machines, databases, and Azure App Services following best practices and client requirements.
- Utilize Azure Migrate to assist with migration projects.
- Monitor the performance, security, and availability of Azure services and promptly address any issues or outages.
- Perform server updates and apply security patches.
- Identify future engagement opportunities during existing client engagements and convey those needs to account executives and practice leadership.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- After hours / weekend work may be a required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in Information Technology, or a related field are a plus.
- Accountability to drive resolution to completion.
- Familiarity with the Azure Portal.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common problems efficiently.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell / Azure CLI) to automate tasks, deploy resources, and manage Azure infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Two or more years in IT or working with cloud technology.
- Experience working for an MSP.
- Ability to identify and resolve common Azure-related issues, including network configurations, security settings, and performance optimization.
