Web Developer (Shopify Specialist – D2C & Luxury E-commerce)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Shopify-focused Web Developer with hands-on experience in building and scaling D2C e-commerce websites, preferably in luxury, fashion, or lifestyle brands. The role involves creating seamless, high-converting storefronts with strong emphasis on user experience, performance, and brand storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores for D2C brands
• Work extensively on Shopify themes (Liquid), custom sections, and storefront customization
• Optimize product pages, collection pages, and checkout experience for conversions
• Integrate and manage Shopify apps and third-party tools (payments, CRM, Klaviyo/email marketing, analytics, etc.)
• Implement UX/UI improvements aligned with luxury brand aesthetics and storytelling
• Ensure site speed, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
• Handle store setup, migrations, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to execute campaigns, landing pages, and drops
• Implement basic SEO best practices (meta tags, schema, site structure)
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to themes, apps, and store performance

Requirements

• 1–4 years of hands-on Shopify development experience, preferably with D2C brands
• Proven experience working on e-commerce websites (fashion, luxury, lifestyle preferred)
• Strong understanding of Shopify ecosystem, themes, and app integrations
• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
• Experience with conversion-focused design and performance optimization
• Familiarity with Shopify store setup, product/catalog management, and checkout flows

Compensation

1. Develop and Deploy Software:
1. Architect and create an effective build and release process using industry best practices and tools
2. Create and manage build scripts to deploy software in a multi-cloud environment

2. Manage Release Schedule:
1. Act as a “gate keeper” for all releases into production

1. Implement Continuous Integration (CI) practices to drive development teams to implement smaller changes and commit code to the version control repo frequently

3. Implement Continuous Testing (functional and non-functional) to execute tests in the CI/CD pipeline
4. Manage Version Control:

5. Resolve Software Issues:

Experienced with Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Jenkins.

Experience is needed in Kubernetes (AKS), Ansible, Terraform, Docker.

Good understanding in Azure Networking, Azure Application Gateway, and other Azure components.

Experienced Azure DevOps Engineer ready for a Senior role or already at a Senior level.

Demonstrable experience with the following technologies:

Microsoft Azure Platform As A Service (PaaS) product such as Azure SQL, AppServices, Logic Apps, Functions and other Serverless services.

Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products such including Azure AD or AD B2C.

Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools, including Azure Monitor, App Insights and Log Analytics.

Knowledge of PowerShell, GitHub, ARM templates, version controls/hotfix strategy and deployment automation.
