Lead DevOps Engineer

What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You will work closely with our development, product, and security teams to streamline deployments, improve performance, and ensure cloud infrastructure resilience.

Responsibilities:

● Deploy, manage, and monitor infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

● Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate them with Git workflows

● Design and manage Kubernetes clusters and helm-based deployments

● Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform

● Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana)

● Ensure security best practices across cloud resources, networks, and secrets

● Automate repetitive operations and improve system reliability

● Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in staging/production environments

What We’re Looking For:

Required Skills:

● 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or SRE role

● Strong knowledge of GCP services (IAM, GKE, Cloud Run, VPC, Cloud Build, etc.)

● Proficiency in Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)

● Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning

● CI/CD pipeline setup using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools

● Understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security practices

● Good command over Linux, shell scripting, and basic networking concepts

Nice to have:

● Experience with Docker, Helm, ArgoCD

● Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

● Familiarity with incident response and disaster recovery planning

● Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana

Role Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer (L2), you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure. You will take ownership of automating processes, improving system reliability, and supporting the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with hands-on experience in deployments, migrations, and optimizations.
• Strong expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of system security, networking, and load balancing.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Java with cloud

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing AWS resources and automating CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or Bash be able to build and administer CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure tools like Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible.
• Experience with microservices and/or event-driven architecture.
• Experience using containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, Mesos or Vagrant).
• Strong practical Windows and Linux system administration skills in the cloud.
• Understanding of DNS, NFS, TCP/IP and other protocols.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, OWASP top 10 and CWE/SANS top 25.
• Deep understanding of Web Sockets and their functioning. Hands on experience of ElasticCache, Redis, ECS or EKS. Installation, configuration and management of Apache or Nginx web server, Apache/Tomcat Application Server, configure SSL certificates, setup reverse proxy.
• Exposure to RDBMS (MySQL, SQL Server, Aurora, etc.) is a plus.
• Exposure to programming languages like JAVA, PHP, SQL is a plus.
• AWS Developer or AWS SysOps Administrator certification is a plus.
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification experience is a plus.
• Experience building Blue/Green, Canary or other zero down time deployment strategies, advanced understanding of VPC, EC2 Route53 IAM, Lambda is a plus.

Job Description:

• Hands on experience with Ansible & Terraform.

• Collaborate on projects with development teams to provide recommendations, support and guidance.

• Automation of processes in a scalable and easy to understand way that can be detailed and understood through documentation.
• Develop and deploy software that will help drive improvements towards the availability, performance, efficiency, and security of services.
• Maintain 24/7 availability for responsible systems and be open to on-call rotation.

Look through the various DevOps Tools/Technologies and identify the strengths and provide direction to the DevOps automation team

Out-of-box thought process on the DevOps Automation Platform implementation

Expose various tools and technologies and do POC on integration of the these tools

Evaluate Backend API's for various DevOps tools

Perform code reviews keep in context of RASUI

Mentor the team on the various E2E integrations

Be Liaison in evangelizing the automation solution currently implemented

Bring in various DevOps best Practices/Principles and participate in adoption with various app teams

Must have:

Should possess Bachelors/Masters in computer science with minimum of 8+ years of experience

Should possess minimum 3 years of strong experience in DevOps

Should possess expertise in using various DevOps tools libraries and API's (Jenkins/JIRA/AWX/Nexus/GitHub/BitBucket/SonarQube)

Should possess expertise in optimizing the DevOps stack ( Containers/Kubernetes/Monitoring )

2+ Experience in creating solutions and translate to the development team

Should have strong understanding of OOPs, SDLC (Agile Safe standards)

Proficient in Python , with a good knowledge of its ecosystems (IDEs and Frameworks)

Proficient in various cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google cloud platform)

Proficient in various DevOps offerings (Pivotal/OpenStack/Azure DevOps

• Prior experience provisioning and spinning up AWS Clusters / Kubernetes
• Production experience to build scalable systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures)

• Working knowledge of the AWS network architecture including designing VPN solutions between regions and subnets
• Hands-on knowledge with the AWS AMI architecture including the development of machine templates and blueprints
