The Executive Assistant to the Managing Director is one of the most leveraged seats in the organization. You will be the operating partner to a founder who has led the greening of the Empire State Building, seeded India's Net Zero Energy Buildings strategy, driven 52% energy reduction across Schneider Electric India's operations, and is now building climate intelligence infrastructure for a $2.7 trillion market.

This is not an administrative role. You are the person who protects, multiplies, and converts the founder's time into outcomes — across investor conversations, board engagements, client meetings, government and multilateral interfaces, and the dozen daily commitments that compound into momentum.

You will operate across multiple entities within the SuperHumanRace and Super Data Labs ecosystem, including our enterprise platform, our foundation (think tank and policy advocacy), and emerging climate intelligence ventures. Your ability to anticipate, orchestrate, and follow through at speed will determine how much of the Managing Director's hours convert into impact.

We need someone who Gets Stuff Done. Not someone who talks about getting stuff done.

What You Will Own

Calendar, Communications & Access

• Own the Managing Director's calendar end-to-end. Prioritize conflicting demands and manage access to the MD's time with judgment and discretion.
• Respond to emails and calls on behalf of the Managing Director with precision and grace. Draft, edit, and dispatch correspondence — emails, speeches, social posts, business documents — that reflect the Managing Director's voice: precise, mission-driven, grounded.
• Keep the Managing Director informed of upcoming commitments, proactively flagging shifts in priority before they become problems.
• Maintain an impeccable task and priority management system. Nothing falls through the cracks. Nothing.

Travel & On-Ground Orchestration

• Manage all travel (India and international): flights, accommodation, transportation, visas, and detailed itineraries.
• Provide on-site assistance at meetings, convenings, and forums.
• Coordinate the Managing Director's presence at global convenings including COP, WEF, and industry forums.

Meetings & Stakeholders

• Anticipate and lock down every meeting resource: agenda, decks, room, technology, catering. Confirm meeting agenda and meeting owner so every meeting starts ready.
• Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to the Managing Director's Office.
• Follow up on contacts made by the Managing Director across Fortune 500 clients, government bodies, multilateral organizations (UN, IFC, GIZ), accelerators, and investors. Be a follow-up ninja: no shame in following up relentlessly until the outcome is secured.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on document preparation, contact lists, and business development support.

Finance & Reporting

• Prepare monthly expense reports and reconcile statements.
• Manage the Managing Director's budget with timely reporting and analysis.

Projects & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Lead special projects assigned by the Managing Director, end-to-end.
• Oversee daily tag-ups with senior leaders at SHR; surface insights and feedback from across departments.
• Leverage the Managing Director's time and impact by managing relationships and projects outside of SHR — government ministries, multilateral organizations, boards, social forums, community engagement.

Personal & Events

• Align the Managing Director's personal commitments with professional ones to minimize overlap and maximize output.
• Accompany the Managing Director to official and/or personal commitments and follow through on anything that requires collaboration with others.
• Plan parties and events; act as the main point of contact within these functions.
• Run small local errands, if and as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. A degree in business, communications, public policy, or hospitality is a plus.
• 10 to 15 years supporting a CEO, MD, Founder, or equivalent principal in a high-velocity, multi-stakeholder environment. Founder's office, family office, ambassadorial, or multilateral exposure is a strong plus.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in sustainability, climate, or impact, and a genuine passion to build a better world.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and demonstrated comfort with AI tools and new technologies.
• Flexibility to respond to time-sensitive needs on nights and weekends.

About the Founder

Aalok A. Deshmukh is a climate action leader, licensed architect, and TEDx speaker with 25+ years of experience spanning contributions to more than 125 projects in 11 countries. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Fellow (LEED Fellow), the highest professional credential awarded by Green Business Certification, Inc., USA, and serves on the global Board of Directors of the Efficiency Valuation Organisation (EVO).

Before founding SuperHumanRace, Aalok was at Schneider Electric India as Director of Sustainability & Influence Strategy, where he drove a 52% energy reduction across the company's most energy-intensive facilities over seven years, worth INR 160 million in avoided energy costs. Earlier, he worked at Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) in the US, where he managed RMI's efforts on the greening of the Empire State Building in New York City: a 2.7 million sq. ft. landmark deep energy efficiency retrofit delivering 38% annual energy reduction and USD 4.4 million in annual savings. He also headed the USAID-funded ECO-III Project, where he developed a Net Zero Energy Buildings strategy for India.

Aalok is an active contributor to the sustainability ecosystem through initiatives like the Sustainability Mafia and Solar Decathlon India. He has served on national committees for developing India's Energy Conservation & Sustainable Building Code and the Indian Building Energy Performance Standard.

Why this role exists

Our infrastructure footprint is growing faster than our headcount, and we believe most of that

gap should be closed by automation and AI agents — not by hiring more humans to do toil. We

need someone early in their career who treats manual work as a bug, ships scripts and agents

instead of tickets, and wants to grow into deeper ownership over the next two years.

You will not be the most senior person on the team. You will be the one who multiplies the team.

What you'll own

In your first 1 months

• Take ownership of one slice of our CI/CD pipeline and make it measurably

faster, more reliable, or cheaper. We expect a number on a dashboard to move.

• Build at least three internal automations that replace manual ops toil —

using AI agents (Claude Code, agentic CLIs, scripted LLM workflows) as your force

multiplier.

• Be the first responder for a defined set of alerts. Write the runbooks. Drive

the alert volume down.

• Support senior engineers on AI/ML infrastructure (GPU nodes, inference

services, model deployment) — observe, document, and gradually take on contained

changes under review.

By 3 months you should be

• The go-to person for at least two production systems.

• Shipping routine infrastructure changes without needing senior review.

• Treating "manual" as a code smell.

Required (we will reject without these)

• 0–3 years hands-on experience with one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or

Azure — one is fine, depth beats breadth).

• Fluent in Linux command line, bash, and at least one scripting language

(Python or Go preferred).

• Have shipped something to production that real users hit. A side project

counts; a graded coursework lab does not.

• Comfortable with Docker — you can explain what an image vs. a

container is and why it matters.

• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: DNS, HTTP/HTTPS,

TLS, ports, basic subnets — enough to debug "it works on my machine."

• Git fluency: branches, merges, rebases, conflict resolution.

• CI/CD pipelines — you have authored or substantially modified pipelines

in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or similar. Not just "I clicked Re-run."

• Kubernetes basics — kubectl for real work, can read pod logs,

understand deployments and services, can debug a CrashLoopBackOff without

panicking. You do not need to have run a cluster; you do need to have lived inside one.

• Active user of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, agentic

CLIs, etc.). You should be able to walk us through specific tasks where they made you

faster, and specific tasks where they failed you and how you noticed. "I have tried it" is

not enough.

Bonus (real plus, not required)

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.

• Observability: Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, any APM.

• Have built or extended an LLM-based agent — a custom MCP server, a

scripted multi-step workflow, an internal tool that calls models in a loop. Anything beyond

chat-with-Claude.

• Exposure to GPU workloads, model serving (vLLM, Triton, TGI, etc.), or

ML pipelines.

What we don't care about

• Whether your degree is in CS — or whether you have a degree at all.

• Brand-name companies on your resume.

• Certifications. They are fine. They do not substitute for having shipped.

How we work

• We default to automation. If you do something manually twice, the third

time you script it or hand it to an agent.

• AI agents are part of the workflow, not a novelty. Expect interview

questions about exactly how you use them — and where you have caught them being

wrong.

• Small, reversible changes beat big-bang rollouts.

• Postmortems are blameless and written down.

• We push back on each other. If you only execute, you will be unhappy

here.

solved, and how AI agents factored in — or did not, and why. We read these. Generic

notes get rejected.

Internal note — delete before posting externally

• Comp band, location policy, team name, and reporting line marked

[CONFIRM] need to be filled in before this goes external.

• The Required list is intentionally tight: CI/CD and Kubernetes basics

promoted from bonus. Expect this to filter ~80% of typical junior DevOps applicants. The

remaining pool will skew toward people who have actually shipped infra at a startup, not

bootcamp grads or pure cloud-cert holders.

• IaC, observability, agent-building, and GPU/ML serving stay as bonus.

Promoting any of these to required at 0–3 yrs collapses the pool to near-zero or forces

hiring senior people at junior comp. If you want IaC required, re-level this to mid (3–5

yrs) and raise the band.

• Screening implication: the resume screen should explicitly check for

CI/CD pipeline authorship and any K8s-touching production work. If neither is on the

resume, reject at screen. Do not waste interview slots.

• Pipeline watch: if fewer than ~15 qualified resumes after 2 weeks of

active sourcing, the first thing to relax is the AI-agent-fluency bar (move to bonus and

screen for it in interview instead). Do not relax the "shipped to production" requirement

— that is the load-bearing filter.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Engineering or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a Content Writer with at least 2 years of professional experience. 
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar. 
• Strong understanding of content marketing principles and strategies. 
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools. 
• Experience in crafting content for various digital platforms and channels, including websites, blogs, social media, and email campaigns. 
• Excellent research skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content. 

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. 

A portfolio showcasing a range of content writing samples across different formats and styles.
