AI Enhanced Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Java development, particularly in building robust backend systems and microservices architecture. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient backend solutions to support our products and services.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and microservices using Java.
2. Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
4. Optimize and refactor existing codebase for improved performance, scalability, and maintainability.
5. Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments and provide timely resolutions.
6. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
7. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth and development.
8. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 4-7 years of professional experience in backend development with a focus on Java.
3. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and its ecosystem.
4. Experience with building scalable and distributed systems using microservices architecture.
5. Proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.).
6. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
7. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
8. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
9. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
12. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
13. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
3. Knowledge of reactive programming frameworks like Akka or Vert.x.
4. Familiarity with message broker systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
5. Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community.

• Creating and managing ETL/ELT pipelines based on requirements
• Build PowerBI dashboards and manage datasets needed.
• Work with stakeholders to identify data structures needed for future and perform any transformations including aggregations.
• Build data cubes for real-time visualisation needs and CXO dashboards.

• Strong knowledge of .NET web frameworkwith .Net 3.5/4.0 Version.
• Experience on web-based projects using NET, C# and MS-SQL Server, JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Skill for writing reusable libraries.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with popular web application frameworks.
• Familiarity with Windows Presentation Framework.
• Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.

• Lead the tech team on daily project development including legacy system refactor and new feature implementation
• At least 4+ years of people management experience.
• Design, build and maintain our trading systems that deal with trade matching, accounting, financial reporting, liquidity, and risk management.
• Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our trading systems.
• Liaise with business, product team members, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in leading a team to design and build services that are highly scalable and robust.
• 5+ years of professional experience with at least one of the following languages: Go (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of multithreading, enterprise integration pattern, microservice.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Nice to have:

• Full-stack experience: knowledge of Javascript React, IOS and Android app development.
• Knowledge of Ethereum-like blockchains.
• Experience in crypto exchange development.
• Experience in building systems in the finance industry.
• Familiar with DevOps work with AWS or GCP
