You’ll be our: Interaction Design Manager

What you’ll do :

As a design leader, you will be working with Product managers, Experience managers and Engineering teams to define strategies and lead the creation of great unparalleled customer experiences

You will be owning & driving the quality of Customer and Business-facing interfaces designed across customer journeys

You will be designing how designers design. Dream, explore, create, and nurture other designers’ skills and processes, identifying areas for improvement through collaborating across functions at company

Involve yourself in increasing the effectiveness of the entire team by helping to define and adapt design processes that elevate the productivity and well-being of the Interaction Design Team

Manage communication and documentation within the interaction design team, partner with other functions, external contacts, and contribute to a company-wide understanding of the role of design

Introduce new ideas, new processes, and new tools to best support an efficient process, creative work, and consistently high-quality execution

Facilitate project scheduling, establish deadlines, ensure the team is aware of key milestones, lead team meetings, and coordinate creative/design reviews throughout the entire product lifecycle

Here’s what we are looking for:

6-9 years in Interaction Design, with an emphasis on digital product design

Experienced in managing design team and comes with a deep understanding of design methodology and the creative process

Experienced in collaboration and building relationships - interfacing with Research, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams

Experienced in scoping, managing, and facilitating design sprints and workshops with large interdisciplinary teams

Must be driven by outcomes and committed to continuous learning

Experience in working with rapid-growth companies or startups is an added advantage

What you'll bring :

Degree in design from Tier 1 Design schools would be preferred but is not a mandate

6-9 years of relevant experience

You’ll be our: Firmware Engineer

You’ll be based at: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru

You’ll be Aligned with: Embedded Manager

What you’ll do at Ather:

A successful candidate is expected to lead the Firmware development and integration effort for various Ather products and be responsible for qualifying and integrating FW at various stages with HW. Responsibilities include:

• Understanding requirements from different stakeholders and translating these to application features

• Writing high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines

• Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

• Performing functional and non-functional testing

• Troubleshooting and debugging applications

• Designing creative prototypes according to specifications

• Evaluating existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features

• Developing technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

• Identifying and communicating possible risks along with preventive and corrective measures

• Designing HW/SW integration while working with HW/Algorithms/Cloud teams to deliver an integrated solution. 

Here’s what we are looking for: 

Must have: 

• ECU Software development experience (any of the ARM based Auto ECUs Body Electronics/Infotainment/ Powertrain/Cluster) 

• Previous experience with Low level firmware, Boot loaders, Device Drivers development 

• Hands on Experience Communication Protocols CAN, I2C, SPI, RS232

• Experience with static analyser, JTAG tools etc…

• Knowledge in Assembly and compilers

• Strong testing & debugging skills, experience with logic analysers

• Language: C, C++

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of HW design for ECUs

• Experience with UDS, AutoSAR, ISO26262, MISRA Guidelines 

• Previous experience with SIL and HIL Testing as well as Test case generation for the same.

• Hand on experience in using CAN tools & CAPL Scripts, Bus Master

• Real Time operating Systems, Python, Matlab/Simulink

• BE/B.tech/B.Sc is minimum req with minimum 2-6 years of prior industry experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT ATHER:

• Work with the vehicle intelligence platform to evolve the algorithms and the platform enhancing ride experience.

• Provide data driven solutions from simple to fairly complex insights on the data collected from the vehicle

• Identify measures and metrics that could be used insightfully to make decisions across firmware components and productionize these.

• Support the data science lead and manager and partner in fairly intensive projects around diagnostics, predictive modeling, BI and Engineering data sciences.

• Build and automate scripts that could be re-used efficiently.

• Build interactive reports/dashboards that could be re-used across engineering teams for their discussions/ explorations iteratively

• Support monitoring, measuring the success of algorithms and features build and lead innovation through objective reasoning and thinking Engage with the data science lead and the engineering team stakeholders on the solution approach and draft a plan of action.

• Contribute to product/team roadmap by generating and implementing innovative data and analysis based ideas as product features

• Handhold/Guide team in successful conceptualization and implementation of key product differentiators through effective benchmarking.

HERE'S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

• Good understanding of C++, Golang programming skills and system architecture understanding

• Experience with IOT, telemetry will be a plus

• Proficient in R markdown/ Python/ Grafana 

• Proficient in SQL and No-SQL

• Proficient in R  / Python programming

• Good understanding of ML techniques/ Sparks ML

YOU BRING TO ATHER:

• B.E/B.Tech preferably in Computer Science

•  3 to 5 yrs of work experience as Data Scientist

• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.

• Expert level of experience working with technologies like Nodejs and javascript.

• Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies.

• Hands-on experience in writing applications at scale.

• Expertise with code reviews with a major focus on best performance, scalability, security and future expansion.

• Should have worked on Scalable projects / large applications / Microservices architecture.

What you’ll do at Ather:

• You will be developing the various Applications for the cloud to process data connecting with the vehicle 

• You shall work with the Lead and product team to define and deliver features. 

• Be part of the Agile team, to define Sprint work content definition. 

• Work with cross functional teams to drive overall feature delivery. 

• Be part of the initiatives that achieve the functional requirements of the team. Explore technical feasibility of solutions, propose and evaluate tech stacks. 

• Performance tuning and benchmarking of the features 

Here’s what we are looking for: 

• Strong knowledge and Hands on experience with Nodejs, RestAPI, Java Script, Java Development experience in cloud based infrastructure 

• Strong fundamentals in any fullstack of your choice, OOPS concepts, Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of Java, React, React Native, Android Native , HTML5, Firebase and Go Programming is a plus. 

• Knowledge on CI/CD pipelines, JIRA, UML, Static Code Analysis tools and Unit test framework is required 

• Knowledge on the S/W communication protocols like gRPC, HTTP, MQTT is a plus Cross platform development experience would be needed. 

• Knowledge of Cloud Based solutions would be a plus. 

• App development for a product which is beyond a mobile platform would be a plus. Experience with Telematics/Infotainment projects would be a great advantage. 

• Strong experience with Agile methodology, along with tools such as JIRA, Confluence. 

• Flashing and debugging tools experience is a plus.
