Product Design Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a product designer with exceptional taste and strong product judgment to shape Alpha’s user experience.

This is a design-first role. Your primary responsibility is producing clear, thoughtful, implementation-ready designs. Frontend engineering ability is useful, but not required—our engineers and AI development tools can handle implementation when the design direction is strong.

What you’ll do

• Design polished end-to-end experiences for an AI-native B2B product
• Turn complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces
• Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes
• Evolve our visual language, component system, and interaction patterns
• Think through empty, loading, error, responsive, and edge-case states
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering from concept through release
• Review implemented work and maintain a consistently high design bar

What we’re looking for

• A strong portfolio showing excellent visual and interaction design
• Exceptional taste in typography, spacing, hierarchy, composition, and motion
• Experience designing sophisticated web or SaaS products
• Strong product thinking and an instinct for reducing complexity
• Proficiency in Figma and component-based design systems
• Ability to explain and defend design decisions clearly
• High attention to detail without losing sight of the broader user journey

Bonus

• Familiarity with React, HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or shadcn/ui
• Ability to create functional prototypes using code or AI tools
• Experience designing AI-native, data-heavy, CRM, or workflow products

We care more about the quality of your thinking and portfolio than your job title, credentials, or ability to write production code.

🔧 What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the development of our AI GTM platform and underlying AI agents to power seamless multi-channel GTMs.

This is a hybrid UX-engineering role: you’ll translate high-level user journeys into interfaces that feel clear, powerful, and trustworthy.

Your responsibilities:

• Design & implement end-to-end features across React-TS/Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, and NestJs micro-services for LLM agents.
• Build & document scalable GraphQL / REST APIs that expose our data model (Company, Person, Campaign, Sequence, Asset, ActivityRecord, InferenceSnippet).
• Integrate third-party APIs (CRM, email, ads, CMS) and maintain data sync reliability > 98 %.
• Implement the dynamic agent flow builder with configurable steps, HITL checkpoints, and audit trails.
• Instrument product analytics, error tracking, and CI pipelines for fast feedback and safe releases.
• Work directly with the founder on product scoping, technical roadmap, and hiring pipeline.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years experience building polished web apps (React, Vue, or similar)
• Strong eye for design fidelity, UX decisions, and motion
• Experience integrating frontend with backend APIs and managing state
• Experience with visual builders, workflow editors, or schema UIs is a big plus
• You love taking complex systems and making them feel simple
