Job Title: Java Developer (Full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
•  Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems and databases.
• Build and manage services on AWS Cloud using components like ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS,
• and API Gateway.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and
• deployments.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and security in a cloud-native environment.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Work closely with architecture, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture. 
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch,etc.).
•  Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS
• CodePipeline).
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SNS/SQS).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or
• PostgreSQL).
•  Familiarity with security best practices, monitoring, and logging in the cloud.

We are seeking an experienced Back-end Developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the server-side of web applications. If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing or improving applications, we would like to meet you.

Position Overview: 

As our Senior Engineer (Back End), you'll be responsible for building new features, enhancing the existing ones as well as supporting them in production. You will also be responsible for building reusable libraries or technology platforms that address multiple use cases. You will work towards delivering specific milestones and objectives in a very dynamic environment. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Working closely with the Engineers to develop the best technical design, strategy and drive execution to build capabilities into the platform 

● Owning the delivery of various timelines, ensuring that key milestones are met and deliveries are of the highest quality 

● Establishing various best practices for software development and encouraging their adoption with the team and organization 

● Collaborate with other non-technical stakeholders of the business which includes Product Managers, Designers, Marketing etc.

● Encouraging and mentoring an excellent team of talented engineers by mentoring them and working with them to remove any roadblocks 

● Functional availability of the software developed, enhancing the product based on functional requirements 

● Managing cloud-based services, web applications for their functional correctness, availability, security 

● Deploy and maintain enterprise class RESTful, GRPC based services 

● Own the engineering excellence and operational readiness of the service driving the SLO,SLI, SLA of the relevant services 

● Take ownership to drive quality of the services under your purview via integration test and unit test coverage 

● Responsible for all microservices within your purview responsible driving their quality, security,availability, scalability and other “ilities” 

● Dive deep into each issue, own reactive fixes, and execute long term fixes 

● Assist other Support Engineers on complex RCA issues 

● Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other engineers 

● Provide L3 engineering support

Must Have Skills:

• Overall experience 7+ years and relevant at least 3+ years in Golang with Java
• Strong design and architectural experience in building various highly-scalable and highly-available products 
• Strong understanding of the SDLC Activities which include Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment and Post-Production Support etc.
• Proficiency in at least one server side framework for Go Lang
• Experience working on NoSQL & SQL Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis etc 
• Deep Dive, problem-solving, RCA and systematic thinking to reach the cause of issues 
• Able to work independently and multi-task effectively 
• Program at a system level and able to manage service stability 
• Excellent experience maintaining, scalable, extensible code
• Methodical in maintaining up to date documentation 
• Metric-driven mindset and obsessive about ensuring clean coding practices 
• Preferred experience in product development 
• Preferred working experience on microservices platforms 
• Proficiency in at least one modern web front-end development framework such as React JS will be a bonus

Good to Have Skills:

• Preferred experience in Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK Stack) 
• Preferred experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ 

Qualification:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Your primary responsibility as a senior backend engineer will be to architect and develop a scalable and robust micro-services backend with strong Java, Spring(Boot), SQL, AWS/GCP.
• Experience being part of a software development team in an Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery environment
• Be a key performer in a high-performance product engineering team

Qualifications:

• 2 to 4 years of overall IT experience. Most of this experience in Java (Core Java, Spring boot, Java collections, Java Multithreading)
• Should have experience designing database schemas - SQL and NoSQL.
• Exposure to frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Play would be a plus
• Experience with microservices architecture would be beneficial.
• Working knowledge of any public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL data stores, data modeling and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries
• Knowledge of container tech like Docker, Kubernetes would be a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet the critical requirements of scalable, highly available, multi-tenant enablement of services in the cloud.
• Independently investigate, present options, review and implement completely new functionality OR re-architect an existing solution to meet growing needs
• You will work closely with other development teams, product management, UX, and QA to define and implement a new product offering while ensuring continued functionality.
• Work with various external (application) teams to integrate with the product and help guide the integration.
• You will implement solutions that include database schema, business logic, and some presentation layer work.
• You will use existing methods and best practices in the software industry to create features and platforms with the highest levels of security, reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Experience mentoring senior developers.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software development experience with a proven track record of making technical decisions
• 8+ years of experience in coding in more than one programming language, e.g. Python, GoLang, node.js, etc
• Intimate working understanding of modern web applications from the database to browser
• Intimate understanding of MongoDB and extensive experience with database-driven applications
• Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements
• Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts
• Experience designing and improving complex software applications
• Experience coaching and mentoring developers at various levels of experience
• You have a sound understanding of programming fundamentals & their application to highly scalable web-based systems.
• You have successfully led a small agile team.
