Job Overview:
As an HR Intern, you will play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and more. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in the full recruitment cycle, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates.
- Help maintain candidate databases and provide status updates to the hiring team.
- Communicate with applicants regarding interview schedules and feedback.
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Support the onboarding process by preparing documentation, collecting paperwork, and ensuring smooth communication with new hires.
- Help coordinate orientation programs to familiarize new employees with the company culture, policies, and procedures.
- Organize welcome kits and assist in conducting introductory meetings.
Employee Engagement:
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, such as team-building events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Gather employee feedback through surveys, interviews, and other channels to improve employee satisfaction and workplace culture.
- Support internal communication efforts to keep employees informed about events and updates.
HR Administration:
- Help maintain accurate employee records by updating HR databases with employee data, status changes, and other relevant information.
- Assist in drafting HR-related documents such as contracts, job descriptions, and policy manuals.
- Support in organizing and maintaining confidential employee files.
- Assist in payroll and benefits administration as needed. The payroll process in HR involves maintaining employee data associated with salaries to credit them on time using the payroll system.
Learning and Development:
- Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities for employees.
- Help track employee training records and ensure that required certifications or courses are completed.
- Provide support in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
- General HR Support:
- Provide day-to-day support for the HR team, assisting with various administrative tasks as needed.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and processes.
- Assist with any other ad hoc duties assigned by the HR team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in HR.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
