Job Description:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who’s passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Kotlin on AWS. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including DevOps, QA, and Product — to design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features to collect, process, and deliver user-generated content.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to build end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical brainstorming sessions.
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling initiatives.
• Maintain and improve application reliability, scalability, and security.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience using Java/Kotlin and AWS.
• Hands-on experience in API development for front-end applications.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and handling large datasets.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Drone).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (SQS, SNS, Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub) and idempotent patterns.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with automated database migration tools (Liquibase, Flyway).
• Experience with cloud storage (AWS S3, GCP Cloud Storage, Azure Blob) or document data stores (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker and deploying to ECS or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Required Technical Skills:

Backend

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Extensive experience with NestJS framework
• Hands-on experience with Prisma ORM and complex database schemas
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and Swagger documentation
• Proven experience writing unit and integration tests with Jest

Frontend

• Expert-level React knowledge and modern React patterns (hooks, context, etc.)
• Deep understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals
• Experience with performance optimization techniques (code splitting, memoization, lazy loading)
• Strong grasp of responsive design and modern CSS practices

General

• Demonstrated experience conducting thorough code reviews
• Commitment to following strict development standards and best practices

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

What you need to have:

Our MEAN stack team is passionate about technology, and we love building scalable web solutions keeping performance in mind.We're looking for a full stack developer that has experience developing a variety of Web Apps using the MEAN stack. You should be able to comfortably move between the client and server-side code written with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Role + Responsibilities:   

• Work with the team to design, develop and support scalable applications         
• Implementing elegant, intuitive user experience using the latest front-end technologies.         
• Developing API's and designing the data architecture using web frameworks like Express.         
• Write, test, and release production-ready code.         
• Work with our DevOps team to ensure continuous deployments of our applications

Person Specification and Qualifications:

• Experience developing highly scalable services and APIs         
• Knowledge of data modelling and database performance using NoSQL/SQL         
• Strong experience with JS frameworks like Express(any other backend framework), Angular.         
• Familiarity developing SaaS applications in AWS/Azure         
• In-depth knowledge of designing and developing software in distributed architectures for multi-tier applications

Plus points if you're familiar with the following:

• Experience with deployment and CI/CD is a plus!
