Role/ Job Title: Senior Technical Architect

Job Purpose:
Senior technical architect will make sure that technologies function simultaneously and transforming specifications into design and architecture documents utilized by the team to create solutions. Managing the implementation of programs. Coordinating with the software development team to ensure the system runs smoothly.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
- Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
- Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for project
- Understand the business strategy and help clients to define the solution with technology
- Assess the impact of the business strategy on the architecture landscape, including organization, information and infrastructure and applications.
- Implement tech roadmap, architectural principles, standards, policies, and solution governance for effective data technology delivery
- Guide smarter technology investments by recommending changes in data systems, infrastructure, process, and IT tools architecture
- Serve as point of contact and review for key issues and decisions for all technical architecture related to strategic projects.
- Providing technical support for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer networks
- Developing and managing project budgets and timelines
Secondary Responsibilities:
- To assist in defining the team's technical strategy and advising on product roadmaps and migration plans to achieve strategic goals
- Produce progress reports
- Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure
- To plan for team growth considering the skills required within the technical architecture team and to assist in resourcing decisions.
- To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the team, building an environment that encourages continuous improvement and innovation.
- Mentor Business Architects and Analysts

Qualifications: Graduation: Bachelor’s in engineering / technology / mathematics / commerce / arts / science / biology / business / computers / engineering / management.
Experience: 10 to 18 Years.
Work on requested engine enhancements that deliver on requested functionality and performance.
Create Photorealistic 3D Exterior, interior Archviz Scenes and City Environments, also in AR & VR
Work on improvements to our pipelines and tooling.
Debug engine or game issues and suggest or implement solutions.
Propose and build tools or technologies that could enhance the ability to deliver content in an efficient and timely manner.
Optimize for memory, CPU, and rendering performance.

Proven working experience of minimum 3+ Years in Android app development (Min 2Yrs. experience in Kotlin)
- Have strong knowledge in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program daily in Node.JS, Angular2+/React JS, Express, Bootstrap, MongoDB and others.
Build web-based and mobile-first front-end GUIs to support workflows.
Integrate with REST APIs and relational databases.
Build out new features and iterate on existing features.
Design and implement low-latency, high-availability and performant applications.
Help define architectures and design patterns.
Participate in code reviews.
Must have experience in Deployment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Real world web and service development experience.
Deep Experience with modern frameworks such as Node.JS, Angular2+/ React , Express & MongoDB.
Experience with server-side languages like Jade, EJS, etc
Experience with HTML5 & CSS3 frameworks such as bootstrap.
Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML).
Experience in anyone one these Docker, Kubernates, AWS, Azure

- To lead Design, Development and Maintenance of Frontend Technology for Viacom18's flagship OTT Platform - VOOT, plan & innovate to deliver best-in class product features, ensuring market leadership and future readiness.
- Head the technology team for Viacom18's flagship OTT Platform - VOOT by enhancing and future proofing the technological infrastructure and capabilities to build a world class product.
Key Responsibilities :
Technological Readiness :
- Strengthen VOOT's technological capability
- Evaluate Frontend technology stacks and choose best in class relevant solutions for business
- Build internal capability for technological functions for future readiness
- Drive technical and technological efficiencies to save cost
Technological Innovation :
- Identify avenues for product enhancement
- Convert relevant ideas to POC (Proof of Concept)
- Act as the technical product owner and work with product management team to deliver features and manage releases and enhancement
- Deliver best-in-class product functionality by minimizing crash rate, reducing improving playback time performance and ensuring maximum device coverage
Collaboration and Partner Management :
- Evaluate and finalize new partners for product enhancement from technical perspective
- Developing technological road maps in collaboration with Product team & external technology partners
- Timely and quality delivery of product/features, including outsourced functionalities and services with no downtime
Resource management of external partners to deliver results
Team management
- Work with the HR partner to create a workforce plan
- Review performance on regular basis
- Ensure optimum levels of engagement through appropriate recognition channels
- Provide inputs on hiring and succession planning
- Identify training needs by using TNA method
Key Performance Indicators :
- Develop best in class product functionality
- Ensure technological readiness for product
- Increase in the number of active daily video viewers
- Application Store rating
- Maintaining a crash rate & Maintain playability above 90%
- No. of new & high quality features rolled out on the platform
