Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounts Assistant Manager / Team Lead with 5+ years of experience in Corporate BPO finance operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance, with the ability to work in a US shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting: Ensure timely preparation and analysis of financial statements, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial close processes.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections.
- Bank & Vendor Reconciliations: Ensure accurate matching of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepaid Expenses & Accruals: Maintain records for prepaid expenses and ensure correct accounting for accruals.
- Credit Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with receivables and payables.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement automation opportunities for efficiency enhancement.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team, ensuring adherence to SLAs and process guidelines.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS standards and support internal/external audits.
- Taxation & Regulatory Filings: Assist in tax calculations, filings, and liaise with regulatory bodies.
Key Requirements
✅ Experience: 5+ years in Finance & Accounts within a Corporate BPO environment.
✅ Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and compliance.
✅ Accounting Standards: Familiarity with US GAAP/IFRS and BPO finance processes.
✅ ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP software.
✅ Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros, and Data Analysis.
✅ Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to interact with US-based clients.
✅ Leadership: Experience in handling a finance team and mentoring junior accountants.
✅ US Shift: Willingness to work in night shifts to support US clients.
Preferred Qualifications
✔ Certifications: CPA, CA (Inter), CMA, or MBA in Finance is a plus.
✔ BPO Finance Experience: Prior experience in finance operations within a BPO or outsourcing from Corporate companies
✔ Process Improvement & Automation: Knowledge of automation tools like RPA, Power BI, or AI-driven accounting solutions.
