Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to improve the reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence of cloud and hybrid infrastructure. The role focuses on automation, observability, incident management, platform operations, disaster recovery, and system reliability across mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and application platforms on AWS.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks using Python, Bash, Ansible, and AWS services.
• Improve platform reliability, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Ensure system security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, networking, and security teams to enhance platform stability.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, operational excellence, and reliability engineering practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, EBS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Scripting experience with Python and Bash.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Configuration management experience (Ansible, AWS SSM).
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
• Experience supporting production environments and incident management.
• Experience with cloud migrations and infrastructure modernization.
• Financial Services domain experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to perform effectively during incidents and critical situations.
• Ownership mindset with a focus on reliability and operational excellence.

What you need to have:

• The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

• Experience using statistical languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience working with and creating data architectures.
• Looking for someone with 3-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
• Has a Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science or another quantitative field
• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques :
• GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining,social network analysis, etc.
• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages :R, Python, SQL, etc.
• Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees,neural networks, etc.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
• Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
