Position Overview:

As a Shopify Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and customization of Shopify themes. Your expertise in HTML5, SASS/CSS3, and JavaScript, coupled with proficiency in VueJS or React, will drive the creation of dynamic and responsive web designs. Operating within EST and GMT work times, you will utilize CI/CD frameworks and pipelines to streamline development processes, emphasizing performance optimization techniques such as FCP, CLS, and LCP. Your familiarity with Shopify site architecture and integration with third-party apps like Algolia and Boost will enable you to implement custom solutions tailored to clients' needs.

Additionally, your strong grasp of Liquid code and Shopify JS APIs will facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of front-end technical challenges, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and adherence to performance budgets. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively, coupled with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills, will be invaluable in driving the success of our projects. While certification and experience with Shopify Plus and API development are advantageous, your dedication to understanding technical architecture and delivering end-to-end project implementations will be key to your success in this role.

• Ability to understand anything that uses JSON REST/ GraphQL API.

• Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs, Strong in Liquid code.

• Offering expertise in troubleshooting and resolution of front-end-related technical problems, guiding the team through complex technical challenges.

• A thorough understanding of Shopify admin/backend system and cross-browser compatibility issues

• A strong understanding of responsive web design techniques

Required Qualifications:

Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Python/Django expert with 10–12 years of real-world development experience and a strong background in leading engineering teams. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing complex technical initiatives, mentoring team members, ensuring best coding practices, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams. This position demands deep technical proficiency, strong leadership capability, and exceptional communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

· Lead, guide, and mentor a team of Python/Django engineers, offering hands-on technical support and direction.

· Architect, design, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications.

· Manage the complete software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch maintenance.

· Ensure compliance with coding standards, architectural patterns, and established development best practices.

· Collaborate with product teams, QA, UI/UX, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.

· Perform detailed code reviews, optimize system performance, and resolve production-level issues.

· Drive engineering improvements such as automation, CI/CD implementation, and modernization of outdated systems.

· Create and maintain technical documentation while providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications Negotiable

· 10–14 years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise in Python and Django.

· Solid understanding of key web technologies, including REST APIs, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

· Hands-on experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB).

· Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

· Proficient in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in designing scalable and high-availability systems.

· Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

· Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring teams and managing technical deliverables.

· Must be available to work on-site in the Hyderabad office; remote work is not allowed.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with microservices, asynchronous frameworks (such as FastAPI or Celery), or event-driven architectures.

· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Previous background as a technical lead or engineering manager.

Requirements:

• Proficient in fundamental Software Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving and Complexity Analysis.
• Proficient in programming languages like Python/Java/Javascript/Golang or similar.
• Strong understanding of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Hands-on Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as Postgres, Mysql, MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with GIT, CI/CD, REST APIs and Cloud ( AWS/ GCP/ Azure) will be preferred.
• Understanding of Microservice Architecture and System Design Principles is a plus.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented and Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and ability to deliver great work.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing, releasing and maintaining large scale software applications.

About the Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will need to produce and implement functional software solutions. You will work with a senior engineer to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work with minimal supervision.  Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with customer needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

• You will need to ensure that software deliverables comply with quality standards and are completed on time.
• Experience or proactive working in mission-critical 24*7 systems.
• Review the performance of the operating system used in the Company and upgrade it as and when required. 
• Conducts peer code reviews and design reviews. 
• Should have knowledge and experience working with SAAS-based applications in early or mid-stage startups.
