Rippling is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the mobile application. 

You will build and scale multiple areas of our mobile application. To begin with —you will be responsible for building out the new product features in the mobile app and owning the deliverables.

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Have horizontal leadership - driving initiatives via community sync-ups or work on more "zoomed-out"and more long term projects that will move the needle in the long run.

• 3+ years experience in mobile engineering roles including leadership roles.
• 1+ years of experience in React Native development
• Development expertise in either Android or iOS native platform
• Proficient understanding of JS fundamentals
• Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Good interpersonal skills

Purpose & Impact of your role: You will be responsible for multiple areas of frontend development. To begin with, you will be responsible for building out the Rippling platform UI and be primarily responsible for it. This is the platform that acts as one directory for employee information across IT, HR, legal, finance, and facilities. Growth of your role: Rippling is changing the way companies manage the day to day HR operations. You will be able to impact how the world experiences it. You will be working primarily in an individual contributor capacity. There are 2 directions that this could take you to: Horizontal leadership driving frontend initiatives via frontend community sync-ups or, High impact IC working on more zoomed-out and long-term projects that will move the needle in the long run. Skills: Strong understanding of JS fundamentals. Good understanding of at least one of the modern frameworks like ReactJs, AngularJs, Vuejs etc. Has written unit tests and integration tests in Javascript. Understands design patterns in Javascript. Has dabbled around with Javascript ES 2016. Knowledge of front-end performance optimization is a bonus. Good interpersonal skills. Other traits we look for: You are passionate about frontend. There must be some indications of the same. Front-enders in Rippling give tech talks, go for conferences, write about front-end as well and are active on github and stackoverflow.

You'll be influencing the product spec for an owned feature, designing the backend and wiring it with the frontend to launch. Once launched, you'll be responsible for any further improvements to the feature.
