UI Designer & Developer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated React Developer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in front-end development using React.js, with a solid understanding of modern web technologies, best practices, and Agile methodologies. Experience with Ember.js is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Ember.js.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of devices and browsers.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with React.js, including Redux and React Hooks.
• Experience with Ember.js in production-grade applications.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.
• Experience using front-end build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM).
• Good understanding of version control systems like Git.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Model Development and Optimization: Design, build, and deploy NLP models, including transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT, T5) and other SOTA architectures, as well as traditional machine learning algorithms (e.g., SVMs, Logistic Regression) for specific applications.

• Data Processing and Feature Engineering: Develop robust pipelines for text preprocessing, feature extraction, and data augmentation for structured and unstructured data.

• Model Fine-Tuning and Transfer Learning:

Fine-tune large language models for specific applications, leveraging transfer learning techniques, domain adaptation, and a mix of deep learning and traditional ML models.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize model performance for scalability and latency, applying techniques such as quantization, ONNX formats etc.

• Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest research in NLP, Deep Learning, and Generative AI, applying innovative solutions and techniques (e.g., RAG applications, Prompt engineering, Self-supervised learning).

• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct due diligence, and communicate project updates effectively, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business goals.

• Evaluation and Testing: Establish metrics, benchmarks, and methodologies for model evaluation, including cross-validation, and error analysis, ensuring models meet accuracy, fairness, and reliability standards. • Deployment and Monitoring: Oversee the deployment of NLP models in production, ensuring seamless integration, model monitoring, and retraining processes. 

Responsibilities:

• Work on a day-to-day basis to deliver software to solve real world problems.
• Participate in the design of new features.
• Work with Product Managers to come up with technical solutions.
• Improvise and analyse current code base to come up with improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ Years of Frontend Development Experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on ReactJS experience.
• Strong skills in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and complexity analysis.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Experience working in fast paced environments cutting across diverse tech-stacks.
• Passionate about Web Development.
• Experience in modern web app development.

• Experience mentoring junior developers.
• Worked with data intensive UI.
• Have worked with early stage startups.
• Have experience with GraphQL.

• Managing large amounts of calls and emails, and social media, if required
• Identifying and assessing customer’s needs to achieve satisfaction
• Handling customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; following up to ensure resolution
• Building sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
• Providing accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
• Following communication procedures, guidelines and policies
• Taking the extra mile to engage customers

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong customer handling skills on phone and email
• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
• Prior experience with Freshdesk and Magento would be a plus
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of people
• Excellent communication skills ( both written and verbal)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

• Experience with Microsoft Office and G-suite (google)
• Knowledge of basics of Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes is a MUST

Job Responsibilities

• Manage a team of talented engineers and oversee daily execution
• Work with product managers in planning sprints and task estimation
• Remove roadblocks for teams and increase delivery velocity
• Provide technical leadership to the team
• Be Technical SME in client meetings
• Be a stickler for code quality, test coverage
• Coach and grow engineering team

To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:

• Proven track record in managing engineering teams and delivering quality products.
• Experience in Ruby on Rails, React JS tech stacks
• Experience in building high performance web applications/APIs
• Top notch analytical/problem solving/debugging skills
• Should have proven ability to build, lead and develop a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate needs as well as provide the team with a clear overview of the priorities
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills
