Technology Mentor- App Development

1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

 2. Proven experience in designing and developing iOS applications using MVVM, and Clean Architecture 

3. Have published one or more iOS apps in the app store. 

4. Proficient in Swift, Objective-C and Cocoa Touch.

 5. Hands-on experience writing quality unit and integration tests. 

6. Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Realm, Core Animation, XCTest etc. 

7. Experience with offline storage, multi-threading, and performance tuning 

8. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services 

9. Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines 

10. Familiarity with push notifications and app extensions. 

11. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git. 

12. Familiarity with CI/CD using Jenkins or AppCenter.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering projects on time based on roadmap requirements
• Overriding technical architecture of the product
• Managing the Development Team including workloads, setting and managing targets, mentoring and training members of the team
• Writing technical specifications and managing projects through to completion
• Implementing and reviewing all development processes (coding standards, code review, code complexity)
• Identifying and resolving issues within the product
• Implementing and managing suitable monitoring systems for production platforms
• Monitoring costs across the AWS platform

Requirements:

• Be highly experienced in the following technologies: Java, Node Js, Typescript, React, SQL
• Show preferable experience in Android development, Kotlin, Mongo DB, MQTT
• Demonstrate fluent English speaking, reading, writing
• Excellent communication skills
• Have previous AWS Cloud experience
• Have experience in leading a Development Team, mentoring and training colleagues
• Demonstrate experience in managing projects through an agile environment, ideally Jira or Azure Devops

Technology Strategy and Innovation:

● Define the company's long-term technology vision and strategy in alignment with business goals.

Product Roadmap and Development:

● Lead the product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of AR/VR devices.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, and functionalities based on customer needs and market trends.

● Drive efficient and effective product development processes while maintaining high-quality standards.

Technical Leadership:

● Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the engineering and R&D teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

● Oversee the design, architecture, and development of hardware and software components for AR/VR devices.

● Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in product design and development.

Research and Development:

● Lead research initiatives to explore emerging technologies, materials, and design concepts that can be incorporated into future product iterations.

● Foster a culture of experimentation and prototyping to drive technical advancements and breakthroughs.

Collaboration and Communication:

● Collaborate closely with product management, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless alignment of technology efforts with business objectives.

● Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster a shared understanding of the company's technology vision.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. A PhD is a plus.

● Proven experience of 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing technology and product development in the AR/VR, consumer electronics, or related industries.

● Strong background in hardware and software engineering with expertise in AR/VR technologies, optics, sensors, displays, and related fields.

● Demonstrated success in bringing innovative products to market, from concept to commercialization.

● Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

● Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

● Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.

● Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

● Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

• Experience working on React Native.
• Design and build applications for the iOS platform.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Responsible for building native applications that can run on multiple platforms such as Android or iOS.
• Experience in handling a team. 
• Experience in flutter.

Skills and Experience:

• 2 years experience on the aforementioned tech stack
• 3+ years overall mobile app development experience
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player
• Must have experience on native iOS or Android development without Flutter
• Should thoroughly know app store/play store build deployment process
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
