Job Description: 

We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer (5–8 years) to join our core engineering team. The role involves end-to-end ownership of embedded hardware design, including schematics, component selection, library creation, and guiding PCB layout through fabrication in collaboration with PCB teams. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a practical understanding of real-world systems, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams. 

We are looking for a serious, long-term professional who is passionate about hardware design and willing to take full ownership of product development. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end-to-end embedded hardware systems (analogue & digital) from concept to production 

• Architect and implement designs using MPUs/MCUs (i.MX, Sitara, STM32, Renesas) 

• Develop robust schematics, perform component selection, and ensure reliability, safety, and compliance considerations 

• Implement and integrate high-speed and industrial interfaces (DDR, Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS-485, SPI, I2C, UART) 

• Perform circuit simulations and design validation using tools like PSpice / LTSpice 

• Work closely with PCB layout engineers to: 

• Define stack-up and routing constraints 

• Ensure Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) 

• Review and approve PCB layouts 

• Analyze schematics and design documents to guide PCB placement and routing strategy 

• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysis 

• Use lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) for hardware validation and troubleshooting 

• Ensure DFM/DFT compliance and support manufacturing, assembly, and testing 

• Drive designs through prototype (PCBA), validation, and production readiness 

• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams for system-level integration 

• Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, and issue resolution

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in analogue circuit design (power, filtering, protection, signal conditioning) 

• Solid experience in digital design using MCU/MPU-based system

• Hands-on experience with: 

o NXP i.MX / TI Sitara (MPU-based systems preferred)

o STM32 / Renesas microcontrollers 

• Proven experience in high-speed hardware design: 

o DDR memory interfaces 

o Ethernet, USB, and high-speed communication buses 

• Strong understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) 

• Experience working with and guiding PCB design using: 

o Mentor Graphics Xpedition 

o Cadence Allegro o Altium Designer 

• Hands-on experience with simulation tools (PSpice, LTSpice) 

• Strong hardware debugging skills using: 

o Oscilloscope

o Logic analyzer

o Multimeter 

• Experience in board bring-up and hardware validation 

• Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability) 

• Exposure to EMI/EMC design practices 

• Experience in taking designs from schematic → PCB → PCBA → validation → production 

• Good understanding of hardware–firmware interaction and system integration 

• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Connect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources including Excel, SQL databases, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud-based data sources.
• Write DAX measures, calculated columns, and basic Power Query transformations to support business KPIs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and convert them into clear visual dashboards.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reports and dashboards.
• Support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of existing Power BI reports.
• Assist in creating reusable data models, semantic models, and reporting templates.
• Document report logic, data sources, data models, and transformation steps for knowledge sharing.
• Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, requirement discussions, and review cycles.
• Explore and support the use of Power BI MCP servers or similar integration approaches for connecting Power BI with AI-assisted workflows and external tools.
• Assist in evaluating how AI tools can be used for faster data analysis, DAX generation, report documentation, insight generation, and dashboard development.
• Support basic integration of Power BI reports into web applications or internal portals, where required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: BE / BTech / BSc student in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, IT, or related field.
• Experience: Fresher / up to 1 year of academic, internship, or project experience.
• Strong interest in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, and Automation.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative team environment.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience or academic project exposure to Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Basic understanding of DAX and Power Query / M language.
• Familiarity with data modelling concepts such as star schema, relationships, hierarchies, fact tables, and dimension tables.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data preparation and analysis.
• Basic SQL knowledge for querying relational databases.
• Exposure to data sources such as Excel, CSV, SQL Server, SharePoint, REST APIs, or cloud databases.
• Understanding of dashboard design principles, including layout, filters, drill-through, bookmarks, and user-friendly navigation.

• Familiarity with embedding Power BI reports into web applications or portals is an added advantage.
• Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar platforms for productivity, analytics, documentation, or code assistance is desirable.
• Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, and data integration concepts is good to have.

Good to Have Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Dataflows, or Power BI semantic models.
• Exposure to Python or R for data analysis.
• Understanding of Git or basic version control practices.
• Experience with academic or personal dashboard projects.
• Ability to use AI responsibly for generating insights, improving DAX, creating documentation, and accelerating analysis.

Mandatory (Company) – Must come from SaaS / Enterprise Product companies (preferably high-scale transactional platforms)

Mandatory (Experience 1) – 12+ years of experience in Technical Support / Application Support, with minimum 6–7 years leading L3 or escalations teams

Mandatory (Experience 2) – Proven experience handling customer escalations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), incident ownership, and cross-functional resolution with Product & Engineering teams

Mandatory (Team Leadership) – Experience managing L3 Support teams of ~20+ members, including mentoring, workload planning, shift governance, and performance management
