WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Handle end-to end project planning and management of Software projects in e-commerce and retail industries.
- Create and present the project plans using Jira / MPP to clients and the internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Technical Architects / Technical Leads / Business Analyst / Quality Assurance for estimation of the ongoing / upcoming projects.
- You will be responsible for the High Level timeline and Milestones for the project.
- Manage resource requirements and utilization for the project. Forecast utilization and work with the management for proper resource allocation and skill alignment.
- Closely interact with the clients to communicate and align on the Project plans / scope / workflow / project execution etc.
- Track the execution of the sprints against the project plan to ensure we are meeting the scheduled deadlines / milestones. Propose solutions in case there are timeline risks.
- Responsible for the Change Management process from the identification of the change request to estimation, approval, planning and final execution of the change request.
- Monitor dependencies and risks to ensure timely resolution and/or escalation to reduce bottlenecks and maintain steady flow of work.
- Alert Client, Client Partners, Team and other stakeholders, to upcoming milestones and the resultant impact on timelines.
- Host agile events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews/demos and retrospectives.
- Coach team to adapt Agile principles and Scrum values. Use tools and processes as needed to empower team members to deliver better and iteratively improve the sprint performance.
- Work closely with Clients to ensure dependencies and impediments are cleared and the client team is fully aligned with the progress of the project
- Create reports and dashboards to monitor the progress of the project for the scrum team and management
- Report burnt hours on a regular basis for reporting, monitoring and billing purposes
- Be responsible for overall, on budget and on time delivery of the project
WHAT WE NEED IN YOU
- Hands-on experience in planning and management of software development projects from scratch.
- Experience in Ecommerce or Retail would be an advantage.
- Process oriented and also be flexible and dynamic to align with the current work flows.
- Project Planning skills - Using MPP, smartsheet or any other Project Management tool.
- Expertise on project management tools like Jira, Zoho People, Confluence, Bugzilla, Github, basecamp.
- Knowledgeable in agile methodologies and familiar with different agile ceremonies
- Good understanding of Jira / JQL to create reports, dashboards and workflows etc.
- Ability to manage Multiple Projects / Clients
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
QUALIFICATION
- Engineering Graduate or equivalent or MBA in Project management.
- 7 plus years of experience as a core Project Manager.
