About the role

HighLevel Inc i looking for multiple QA Engineers / Testers to join its full time remote workforce in India. You will be responsible for ensuring that the new releases we make for features, enhancements or new products meet the strict standards of quality & consistency. The buck stops at you and you will have the final say on the correctness, reliability & consistency of our builds. You will prepare detailed test cases that ensure coverage in our complex platform and you will help developers identity & replicate any inconsistencies. You will also work closely with support teams to reproduce reported bugs and communicate them to developers and product teams.

Type - Full Time (Remote in India)

Your Responsibilities

1. Owning the quality of any deliverables including new features and enhancements.
2. Working closely with the product/engineering team in understanding the requirements and user
3. workflow.
4. Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvements.
5. Writing highly efficient manual test cases and performing functional, ad hoc and regression
6. testing.
7. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, including the
8. ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results.

Your Core Skills

1. You place quality over any other virtue.
2. 3+ years’ experience in testing web applications
3. Experience in using defect tracking systems to report, track and resolve defects.
4. Experience with API testing and performance testing with tools such as JMeter, and Postman.
5. Understanding of HTML, CSS,JS and browser debugging/console tools
6. Test automation experiences such as Selenium, Cypress or any other framework.
7. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
8. Good knowledge of working with at least one Source control system - Git, SVN etc.
9. Good understanding of the Agile software development methodology (Kanban or Scrum) and QA's role in it

Additional Skills

1. Prior experience in B2B SaaS or a CRM product or in a complex web-based software product with multiple product areas utilizing multiple services and technologies

QA Engineer Roles & Responsibilities 

Your primary responsibility will be to run various tests from the test-suite on new software releases to ensure that it satisfies all specifications and requirements as well as free from any bugs. 

Once issues have been resolved, You will run additional tests to make sure the issues are resolved before the new release is pushed to production. 

1. Thoroughly testing new releases to find bugs or design issues. 
2. Identifying bugs in new releases and understanding how to resolve them
3. Creating issues for these bugs and with steps on how to re-produce them.
4. Ensuring that new software products are ready for consumer use
5. Working with development teams to prevent issues with new products

• To work closely with software developers and product planners to understand more about what the product is for, its key features and the intended audience
• Required to carry out a mix of key functional and non-functional tests such as Sanity, Regression, Load, Security and Deployment
• Required to plan test cases in consultation with the stake holders
• Required to document all bugs and findings of these tests and ensuring they are addressed

Required Skills:

Functional: Manual Functional Testing of Web and Mobile Applications, Writing Test Cases, Regression Testing, Data Verification, GIT & JIRA, Basic Automation Testing,
Testing feeds - Understanding of JSON and XML structures, Testing tools like Postman, Swagger & Charles Proxy, Browser Development Tools,GIT & JIRA.

• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Design test cases based on the use cases and considering various quality aspects.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Perform in-depth and thorough testing of the owned features/areas.
• Maintain the test cases and test results in test management system.
• Maintain the defects in defect Management system.
• Plan and realise the test environment, platforms, test cycles and regression cycles based on the strategy and quality evaluation at different stages of the product.
• Keep updated on the latest testing and domain technologies, test coverage methodologies and quality metrics.
• Develop skills on automation and testing tools.
• Should guide junior members in performing their activities effectively and help them develop technical skills.

• BE/B-Tech/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Should have at least 4 years of relevant experience in QA.
• Proven working experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting is big plus
