Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java (primary) and working knowledge of Python. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, while contributing to high-quality software delivery across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Java (Spring Boot / Microservices architecture)
• Develop reusable components and APIs with a focus on performance, security, and scalability
• Leverage Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or ML-related use cases (as applicable)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, multithreading, concurrency, and JVM performance tuning
• Practical experience with Python (automation, scripting, or backend development)
• Experience with databases: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Exposure to containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in distributed systems and event-driven architectures

What you'll do:

· Perform complex application programming activities with an emphasis on mobile development: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs and related backend frameworks

· Assist in the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible

· Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other engineers on different permutations to find the best solution possible

· Own the quality of code and do your own testing. Write unit test and improve test coverage.

Job description

• Database Design & Development:
• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
• Develop efficient schemas, indexes, and stored procedures to optimize data performance.
• Backend Development:
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js.
• Integrate databases with backend applications for seamless data flow.
• Query Optimization & Performance Tuning:
• Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Monitor database health and troubleshoot slow queries or deadlocks.
• Security & Compliance:
• Implement database security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards like GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Data Migration & Backup:
• Develop and maintain data migration scripts between different PostgreSQL versions or other databases like mongodb.
• Set up and manage database backup and recovery strategies.

Senior Developer should have exposure to building logistics products.

Skilled in RESTful & GraphQL APIs, microservices, and database optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Experienced in authentication (OAuth, JWT), caching (Redis, Memcached), and real-time applications (WebSockets).

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Passionate about scalability, performance tuning, security best practices, and clean code architecture.
