Sr Devops engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the efficient functioning of containerized applications and systems within an organization
• Design, implement, and manage scalable Kubernetes clusters in cloud or on-premise environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments, and track all automation processes
• Implement workload automation using configuration management tools, as well as infrastructure as code (IaC) approaches for resource provisioning
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of Kubernetes clusters and underlying cloud infrastructure
• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of infrastructure through automation and best practices
• Establish and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and procedures Work agile technologies

Primary Requirements:

• Kubernetes: Proven experience in managing Kubernetes clusters (min. 2-3 years)
• Linux/Unix: Proficiency in administering complex Linux infrastructures and services
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with CM tools like Ansible, as well as the 
• knowledge of resource provisioning with Terraform or other Cloud-based utilities
• CI/CD Pipelines: Expertise in building and monitoring complex CI/CD pipelines to 
• manage the build, test, packaging, containerization and release processes of software
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting and process automation skills in Bash, Python
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Version Control: Proficient with Git and familiar with GitOps workflows.
• Security: Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized 
• environments.

LogiNext is looking for a technically savvy and passionate Principal DevOps Engineer or Senior Database Administrator to cater to the development and operations efforts in product. You will choose and deploy tools and technologies to build and support a robust infrastructure.

You have hands-on experience in building secure, high-performing and scalable infrastructure. You have experience to automate and streamline the development operations and processes. You are a master in troubleshooting and resolving issues in dev, staging and production environments.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable infrastructure for delivering and running web, mobile and big data applications on cloud Scale and optimise a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases (especially MongoDB), web servers, application frameworks, caches, and distributed messaging systems Automate the deployment and configuration of the virtualized infrastructure and the entire software stack Plan, implement and maintain robust backup and restoration policies ensuring low RTO and RPO Support several Linux servers running our SaaS platform stack on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Ali Cloud Define and build processes to identify performance bottlenecks and scaling pitfalls Manage robust monitoring and alerting infrastructure Explore new tools to improve development operations to automate daily tasks Ensure High Availability and Auto-failover with minimum or no manual interventions

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field 8 to 10 years of experience in designing and maintaining high volume and scalable micro-services architecture on cloud infrastructure Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Python/Shell Scripting Extensive experience working with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Auto-scaling, VPC, Lambda), GCP, Azure Experience in deployment automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, GitLab) and monitoring tools like Zabbix, Cloud Watch Monitoring, Nagios Knowledge of Java Virtual Machines, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Kafka, Microservices architecture, Caching mechanisms Experience in query analysis, peformance tuning, database redesigning, Experience in enterprise application development, maintenance and operations Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service Excellent written and oral communication skills, judgment and decision-making skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps including automated system configuration, application deployment, and infrastructure-as-code. 
• Advanced Linux system administration abilities. 
• Real-world experience managing large-scale AWS or GCP environments. Multi-account management a plus. 
• Experience with managing production environments on AWS or GCP. 
• Solid understanding CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, CircleCI/Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory/Nexus. 
• Experience on any configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef is a must. 
• Experience in any one of the scripting languages: Shell, Python, etc. 
• Experience in containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes/EKS/GKE is a must. 
• Solid understanding of SSL and DNS. 
• Experience on deploying and running any open-source monitoring/graphing solution like Prometheus, Grafana, etc. 
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.

• Knowledge on Bigdata (Hadoop/Druid) systems administration will be a plus.  
• Knowledge on managing and running DBs (MySQL/MariaDB/Postgres) will be an added advantage.

• Creating the Architecture Diagrams and documentation for various pieces
• Build tools and automation to improve the system's observability, availability, reliability, performance/latency, monitoring, emergency response

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps / System Engineer.
• Strong knowledge in Systems Administration & troubleshooting skills with Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD best practices and tooling, preferably Jenkins, Circle CI.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP or private cloud environments.
• Experience and understanding of modern container orchestration, Well-versed with the containerised applications (Docker, Docker-compose, Docker-swarm, Kubernetes).
• Experience in Infrastructure as code development using Terraform.
• Basic Networking knowledge VLAN, Subnet, VPC, Webserver like Nginx, Apache.
• Experience in handling different SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo).
• Experience with GIT Version Control Software.
• Proficiency in any programming or scripting language such as Shell Script, Python, Golang.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment.

• AWS / Kubernetes Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect / CKA.
• Setup and management of a Kubernetes cluster, including writing Docker files.
• Experience working in and advocating for agile environments.
• Knowledge in Microservice architecture.

• Good experience in AWS services like Elastic Compute Cloud(EC2), IAM, RDS, API Gateway, Cognito, etc.
• Using GIT, SonarQube, Ansible, Nexus, Nagios, etc.
• Strong experience in creating, importing and launching volumes with security groups, auto-scaling, Load Balancers, Fault-tolerant
• Experience in configuring Jenkins job with related Plugins for     Building, Testing, and Continuous Deployment to accomplish the complete CI/CD.
