What You'll Be Working On

* Building and maintaining backend services using FastAPI.

* Developing REST APIs for web and mobile applications.

* Working with databases and designing efficient data models.

* Building features powered by AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

* Integrating third-party APIs and backend services.

* Debugging, optimizing, and improving existing systems.

* Collaborating closely with senior engineers to ship production-ready features.

What We're Looking For

* Strong Python programming skills.

* Hands-on experience with FastAPI through personal, college, internship, or freelance projects.

* Experience working with either PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

* Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP.

* Familiarity with Git and collaborative development.

* A genuine interest in AI and LLMs, with basic knowledge of concepts like:

* Prompt engineering

* Using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, etc.)

* RAG or AI agents (nice to know, not mandatory)

* Someone who's curious, enjoys solving problems, and likes learning new technologies.

Nice to Have

These aren't mandatory, but they'll definitely make your profile stand out:

* Redis

* Kafka or other messaging systems

* Docker

* Celery or background workers

* SQLAlchemy

* Vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with deep expertise in backend engineering and related frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver, effective communicator, and proven mentor capable of leading development initiatives while ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to multiple backend development projects ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and gather requirements.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
• Develop detailed HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing and growth.
• Participate in peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize performance, concurrency, and scalability of applications.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Support and troubleshoot production issues, providing L3 support as required.
• Continuously research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to improve applications and processes.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices within the team.
• Actively participate in recruitment and talent-building initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of strong professional experience in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.
• Proficiency in MERN stack (preferred but must be heavy on Node.js).
• Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and performance profiling expertise.
• Hands-on experience with source control systems (Git) and CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented and service-oriented application development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in team settings with high ownership.

• Lead the engineering effort across projects 
• Interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages including Application Architecture, Design and Development
• Understand client's business requirements and be able to map them to technology solutions and make them work
• Design and build modern solutions informed by a deep understanding of cloud architecture and how distributed systems operate at scale
• Provide regular support and guidance to teams on complex coding, issue resolution and execution 
• Establish and enforce best development and engineering practices including QA and DevOps
• Lead and manage your own team, but also get down to coding, testing, and designing solutions as and when needed

• Minimum 6+ years of experience designing and building full stack applications using UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue.JS and backend frameworks like Node.JS/ExpressJS or Python/Django/Flask or Laravel/Yii2/Symphony
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Lead mentoring team of 3 to 5 developers
• Strong knowlegde of cloud and distributed systems (AWS, GCP, Azure). Cloud certifications would be an added advantage.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with Graph databases like Neo4j is desirable.
• Proficient in Git and CI-CD frameworks
• Strong communicator with visual, verbal, and writing skills to clearly articulate complex design problems and solutions
