Position Summary:

We are looking for a Cloud developer responsible for the development and maintenance of cloud applications deployed in AWS environment. Your primary focus will be the development of such applications and their integration with other services. A commitment to open mind, problem solving, ability to learn, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of services
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Innovative thinking of finding solutions to needs
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, automatization and documentation
• Use Agile Scrum Methodology for software development
• Develop unit tests for all new code
• Provide code reviews for all new code and participate to code reviews of other people
• Diagnose and resolve complex level issues of application
• Participate in interactions with all levels of personnel with different teams
• Design and build services on top of AWS

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Python
• Strong knowledge of Web Services (Rest or SOAP APIs)
• Strong knowledge of React JS or any other JavaScript
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot is good to have
• Knowledge of AWS is good to have
• Knowledge of TypeScript is good to have
• Knowledge of Linux is good to have
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS is good to have
• Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation is good to have
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch is good to have
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Any authorized Java, AWS, Linux, or Python certifications will be value added
• Min 2 years of work experience in relevant technologies
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Job Description :

Responsibilities & ownership

• Own design, implementation, testing, and support of next-generation features related to scalability, reliability, robustness, usability, security, and performance of the product.
• Capable of working Individually and collaboratively with other engineers.
• Collaborate with support and field resources to make sure that customers are successful with Dremio

Requirements

• Fluency in Java and/or C++ with 3 to 5+ years of experience developing production level software
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous patterns and their applications towards developing scalable systems
• Experience developing scalable distributed systems and deploying, scaling, and managing microservices
• Experience with  containers and kubernetes for orchestration and container management in private and public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) a plus
• Excellent communication skills and affinity for collaboration and teamwork
• Interested in and motivated to be  part of a fast-moving startup with a fun and accomplished team
• Startup experience a plus
• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience

• Lead a full product development lifecycle from ideation, design, development, to roll out and support
• Own the delivery of multiple features of the product end to end while hands-on in development as well
• Advocate best development practices such as continuous integration/continuous delivery, automation (testing and infrastructure)

1. 7+ Years’ of experience, managing teams of 5+ people
2. Must have excellent programming, debugging and scripting skills with a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design principles.
3. Proficiency in at least two of the following: Java, NodeJS, Go, JavaScript, Python programming stacks, and passion for software engineering and craftsman-like coding prowess
4. Knowledge of software practices like refactoring, clean code, domain driven design, Encapsulation etc
5. Hands on experience managing databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis.
6. Exposure to event driven systems and event streaming engines like Kafka
7. Good knowledge of DevOps tooling like docker, kubernetes, ansible/chef, AWS.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and Build API/Micro services using Spring boot.
• Experience in Spring Reactive programming.
• Exposure to docker and containerization
• Developing enterprise grade highly scalable java-based application
• Writing test cases using Java testing framework like JUnit, Mockito.
• Proficient understanding of code version tools, such as Git, SVN
• Displaying initiative and an ability to lead others, and develop applications team disciplined manner
• Participating in application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, development, resolution of technical issues, and application rationalization.
• Utilizing and applying robust analytic thinking with the ability to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues.
• Achieving significant contributions within a small team of developers to lead teams and deliver solutions within an Agile methodology, whilst ensuring quality, timeliness and team-wide adherence to good architectural practice and guidelines.
• Good Experience in Application Software Design and Development, Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Software Testing and Debugging.
