Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

● Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on back-end development using Golang.

● Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality APIs and products in a production environment.

● Strong knowledge of Golang and its core libraries, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

● Experience with Go frameworks and proficiency in building RESTful APIs.

● Extensive experience with various database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Graph, or NoSQL databases, and proficiency in writing optimized queries.

● Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns, including microservices architecture.

● Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.

● Experience with containerization technologies, like Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.

What you will do?

Project Management

• Work with the product management team to create an engineering roadmap that aligns with the product roadmap. 
• Translate engineering roadmap into executable internal projects, and own the end-to-end execution of these projects.
• Plan, execute and deliver projects as per schedule, content, and quality metrics.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team using Agile practices.
• Keep stakeholders continually updated on the progress of projects and operations.
• Track and report engineering health metrics (such as bugs by severity, production incidents etc.)

People Management

•  Hire and mentor a team of engineers

Technical Work

•  Core stakeholder to all technical design and architecture of team.

Basic Qualification: 

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Node.js  
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB 
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. 
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field. 
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, 
• algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis. 

Preferred Qualification: 

• Experience building complex applications on distributed systems that have been successfully deployed for a large customer base. 
• Experience with Agile Scrum, having served as a Scrum Master and delivered results. 
• Application of advanced coding techniques, such as dependency injection. 
• Proven experience with: writing design documents, leading code reviews, 
• applying SCM, managing builds and managing releases.

What does the role entail:

● Lead User Stories and guide senior/software engineers in the development process

● Understand architecture principles, design patterns and implement them from architectural artifacts.
