Role Description

This is a contract role for a Senior Java Software Engineer. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions, building and maintaining Microservices architectures, and programming using Spring Boot. This role is based in Bengaluru and is an on-site position.

Software Architect

Job Overview:

As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend solutions for our software applications. You will be responsible for making strategic technical decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products with scalable backend infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

• System Architecture:
• Design and architect scalable, efficient, and maintainable backend systems.

• Technical Leadership:

Qualifications:

• Overall 10+ years of experience, with 2+ years as a Software Architect with a focus on backend development using Ruby on Rails.
• In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework, database design, and API development.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with performance optimization, scalability, and security considerations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Job Summary :

      As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of software components all the way to production. In this position you will partner with our globally distributed cross-functional teams, product managers and other internal stakeholders. This position requires understanding business & technical requirements, designing clean solutions, implementing them and managing these systems. A key aspect of the role is to understand the digital commerce businesses part of KBX and implement technology systems that favourably align with business initiatives and requirements. The position will be evaluated in terms of the quality of the technology development, ongoing management of the systems and impact on business metrics.

• Basic understanding of Java Memory Management (JMM) including garbage collections concepts.
• Experience in RDBMS or NO SQL databases and writing SQL queries (Joins, group by, aggregate functions, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Message Broker like Kafka/Rabbitmq or other. Hands-on experience in creating RESTful webservices and consuming web services. Hands-on experience with spring Cloud/Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with any of the logging frameworks (SLF4J/LogBack/Log4j)
• Experience of writing Junit test cases using Mockito / Powermock frameworks. Should have practical experience with Maven/Gradle and knowledge of version control systems like Git/SVN etc.
