Key aspects of this role:
• Maintain, update, and enhance ITSM environment including Incident, Request,
Problem, Change and Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, Service Portals,
SLAs, Discovery, and Integrations
• Participate in the implementation and configuration of other ServiceNow products
outside of ITSM to increase the adoption of the ServiceNow platform.
• Responsible for performing daily administration, issue resolution, and
troubleshooting of the ServiceNow platform.
Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
To be the right fit, you will need:
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development and
configuration.
• Proficient in developing, integrating and maintaining applications using ServiceNow
Platform technology and tools.
• Understanding of and experience working with IT Service Management processes
(Incident, Problem, Change, Release, SLM, Service Catalog), PPM/ITBM
• Understanding of IT and business requirements with ability to develop, test, deploy
improvements, and update Manage and administer lists, filters, forms, platform
interfaces (to other data sources) and the data within tables, import sets and the
CMDB.
• Preferably certified in ServiceNow

What You’ll Do:

• Own definition and implementation of API interfaces (REST and GraphQL). We take pride in our 100% open API with over 600 endpoints.
• Implement simple solutions to complex business logic that enables our merchants to manage financials, orders and shipments across millions of transactions.
• Build reusable components and packages for future use.
• Translate specs and user stories into reviewable, test covered patches.
• Peer review code and refactor existing code.
• Integrate with our eCommerce partners (Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon), shipping partners (UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL) and EDI.
• Manage Kubernetes and Docker based global deployment of our infrastructure.

Requirements We’re Looking for Someone With:

• Experience working with ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django (2-3 years)
• Experience with SQL and databases (Postgres preferred)
• Experience in developing large server side applications and microservices
• Ability to create high quality code
• Experience with python testing tools (pytest) and test automation
• Familiarity with code versioning tools like GIT

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will play a crucial role in reinforcing our Backend Team with knowledge and experience. You will work in Risk Manager team and develop from scratch a completely new application for our growing product, the Corporate Compliance Cockpit (CC Cockpit). The Risk Manager provides the ability to effectively manage risks in your organization to compliance managers and officers. It is embedded into the CC Cockpit - a full featured corporate compliance solution with several other applications and services composed together as micro frontends with Angular.

You will:

• Work with a cross-functional team of engineers to architect, develop, deploy and operate services in a micro-services environment both in backend and front-end. You’ll own your team’s services end-to-end.
• Build scalable and highly available services, always pushing to the next 9 in availability.
• Ensure your service is well tested, architected, and meets your team's coding standards. You’ll drive observability topics such as logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Support the continual improvement of your more junior teammates via mentoring, pair programming, and code review.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Extensive experience with NodeJS and TypeScript (Express is a plus).
• You are comfortable with the ins and outs of NodeJS from libraries and debugging tools to asynchronous code execution, caching and performance tweaking
• Experience in designing REST or GraphQL APIs
• A passion for shipping. Bonus points for Trunk Based Development. CI/CD is your default. Putting code live every day is standard practice.
• Architecture skills – Both code and infrastructure. SOLID and DDD are exciting to you.
• Database performance and optimization skills, especially in MySQL. You can walk us through all the steps in a large query and tell us in which order they are executed and how to optimize the execution path. Explain is your friend.
• Excellent communication skills (in English). You can naturally work with people from different backgrounds, both technical and non-technical. You are comfortable defending your ideas and challenging others. People enjoy working and debating with you.

• Knowhow in frontend development (Angular would be a double plus)
