Within the Senior Back-End Drupal Developer role, you will be responsible for planning, building, and supporting websites for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying requirements and planning out the technical approach to implement the right solution for our clients
• Helping develop custom back-end functionality for our clients' Drupal websites
• Building web services and working with various APIs
• Helping to improve our development methods and practices demonstrating a commitment to quality
• Keeping up to date with the latest development trends and introducing new technologies where relevant and appropriate
• Providing support and maintenance for our clients' existing Drupal websites
• Supporting other members of the development team through training, code review and knowledge shares

Skills Required:

• Recent experience working with Drupal 8
• An excellent knowledge of PHP and a thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Previous experience of working with APIs (JSON/XML)
• Experience in interacting with databases using SQL
• An understanding of version control systems such as Git
• Experience of working within a busy development environment with deadlines to meet

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work in an existing codebase and collaborate with a diverse team
• Experience in building enterprise-scale backend REST APIs with frameworks such as Nest.js & Express.js using an API-first paradigm
• Intimate knowledge of crafting highly performant database queries
• Hands-on experience implementing relational database structures, including tables, indexes, views, etc.
• A mindset towards building systems for the cloud and DevOps fundamentals
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services is good to have. If not then willingness to learn should be there.
• Focus towards building security, performance, and scalability into services from the beginning
• Experience with debugging code and troubleshooting technical issues in order to craft appropriate solutions
