Job Title: Pricing & Logistics Operations Specialist – Freight Forwarding (US & Canada)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing & Logistics Operations Specialist with experience in freight forwarding to manage pricing, rate negotiations, and logistics operations for shipments between the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing strategies, carrier negotiations, and end-to-end freight operations within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing & Rate Management:

• Develop and maintain competitive pricing strategies for LTL, FTL, Ocean, and Air freight services.
• Negotiate rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
• Prepare freight rate quotations and provide cost analysis to support sales teams.
• Monitor market trends, fuel surcharges, and freight rate fluctuations to ensure competitive pricing.

Logistics & Operations:

• Manage freight bookings, documentation, and shipment coordination between the US and Canada.
• Work with carriers, brokers, and customs teams to ensure smooth cross-border operations.
• Handle load planning, route optimization, and transit time management for shipments.
• Troubleshoot shipment delays, pricing discrepancies, and service issues with carriers.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting:

• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and account management teams to support client requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers, ensuring service reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Generate pricing reports, freight cost analysis, and operational efficiency metrics for management review.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, pricing, or logistics operations in the US-Canada trade lane.
• Strong understanding of LTL, FTL, Ocean, and Air freight pricing structures.
• Proficiency in freight management software, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).
• Experience in carrier negotiations, load planning, and customs documentation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
