Senior Software Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for further speed-up delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards of our software at the same time. You will work closely with the engineering team and product management team to ensure smooth release of the software.

Specific responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute a systematic set of test cases
• Analyze test results and report findings in a structured manner
• Work closely with the development team and product management
• Automate common tasks, and support continuous integration/delivery
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular, reusable automation code using Selenium Webdriver
• Support, maintain, and enhance all test case automation related activities during iterative development, system testing, and regression testing
• Design performance/load test scripts based on requirements

Requirements, experience and skills

• BA/BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field is a big plus
• At least 4 yrs of testing experience including hands on experience in automation testing and load testing
• Experience with JavaScript and Selenium
• Proficiency in Selenium Webdriver automation with Java or other object-oriented languages
• Expertise in Performance Testing tools like Jmeter
• Experience in analyzing performance reports and document the observations to identify the bottlenecks
• Experience with GIT, Continuous Integration systems & Jira
• Experience with agile methodologies for software development
• SaaS-based web product experience is an advantage

• Perform complex application programming activities with an emphasis on mobile development:  Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs and related backend frameworks

Person Specification and Qualifications:

• Complete hands-on on React Native and Javascript coding practices and conventions.
• Hands on experience on Android, iOS platforms in creating Hybrid / Native applications.
• Should have apps in the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
• Use of Management tools including Bitbucket (GIT), Jira and Bamboo.
• Hands-on experience on React Native APIs, ReactJS, Javascript, ECMAScript (OOJS) and JSX
• Thorough understanding of React Native development tools like IDEs (Nuclide, Atom, Sublime Text, or Visual Studio Code), Chrome debugging tools, ESLint, React Native CLI, Watchman, package manager etc
• Good familiarity with most of the React Native built-in and popular third-party frameworks, libraries, and accelerators. With in-depth expertise on most of the popular ones

• Experience in designing & developing systems/software for large business environments (Java, J2EE).
• Strong design and coding skills in Enterprise Java, REST & SOAP web services, ORM (JPA/Hibernate), Spring, Maven, JMS (ActiveMQ), Caching, XML, JSON.
• Experience with multiple integration technologies / frameworks.
• Must have good experience in Unix/Oracle/SQL.

THE POSITION:

- 3+ years of relevant experience in designing & implementing scalable, resilient backend microservices

- Expert at any backend programming language (Python/GoLang preferrable) and has exposure to API design and scalable architecture

- Hands-on experience on a couple of RDBMS/NoSQL/In-memory DBs

- Great database modelling skills

- Ability to choose the right algorithm, data-structure, and design pattern for the given problem statement
