Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and sales teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
- Communicate and negotiate across teams to get buy-in and alignment towards a shared vision.
- Apply technical judgement and identify return-on-investment opportunities.
- Learn new technologies and apply them appropriately for bringing value to customers.
Minimum qualifications
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
- Experience in architecting and developing distributed systems design.
- Experience in technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction.
- Proven record of test driven development.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework or similar technologies.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in driving technical projects and providing leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Experience in working with other engineering teams internally and externally, and across geographies.
- Experience building web applications for 5+ years.

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve the platform architecture to support 10x100x growth
- Own systems end-to-end from the first design decision to production impact
- Lead system design discussions and set the long-term technical direction for the platform

- Mentor and elevate engineers through design reviews, code quality, and architectural thinking

Requirements
- 7-12 years of experience in backend or platform engineering
- Strong computer science fundamentals (preferably from IIT, BITS, NITs)
- Strong proficiency in backend development (Node.js, Java, Go, or equivalent)
- Proven experience scaling systems through high-growth startup phases (1→10 or beyond)
- Track record of building and owning critical platforms or systems from scratch
- Exposure to high-volume transactional systems; fintech or lending is a strong plus
- Bias for action - moves fast, makes sound decisions, owns outcomes end-to-end
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities in a startup environment
- Strong problem-solving skills ability to break down complex technical challenges and arrive at pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions
- Hands-on experience with platform engineering developer tooling, shared services, infrastructure abstractions, or internal platforms

The role:
Our engineering team is growing and we are looking to bring on board a senior software engineer who can help us transition to the next phase of the company. As we roll out our platform to customers, you will be pivotal in refining our system architecture, ensuring the various tech stacks play well with each other, and smoothening the DevOps process.
On the platform, we use Python (ML-related jobs), Golang (core infrastructure), and NodeJS (user-facing). The platform is 100% cloud-native and we use Envoy as a proxy (eventually will lead to service-mesh architecture).

- Be the bridge between engineering and product teams. Understand long-term product roadmap and architect a system design that will scale with our plans.

Qualifications
Work Experience
- 5+ years of industry experience (3+ years in a senior engineering role) preferably with some exposure in leading remote development teams in the past.
- Proven track record building large-scale, high-throughput, low-latency production systems with at least 3+ years working with customers, architecting solutions, and delivering end-to-end products.
- Fluency in writing production-grade Go or Python in a microservice architecture with containers/VMs for over 5+ years.
- 2+ years of DevOps experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and public cloud APIs)
- Worked with relational (SQL) as well as non-relational databases (Mongo or Couch) in a production environment.
