JOB DESCRIPTION: BACKEND DEVELOPER

What will you do?

• Work in an agile team of developers, QA, DevOps and founders
• Implement new systems and redesign legacy systems, using leading technologies, to support advancing Research business requirements
• Research and analyze business and system needs. Explore solution options to recommend designs and technologies

Skills and requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in backend technologies like Node.js, Express, Sequelize
• Experience with automated task runners such as Grunt or Gulp
• Experience in Database like MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Comfortable applying engineering best practices for Test Driven Development, integration testing version control, release management, work estimation and planning
• Experience to work with Rest and GraphQL APIs
• You know how to use Git,
• You are passionate about code quality. Writing tests and documentation belong to your natural workflow.
• Participate in or lead all parts of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation, and support.
• A history of active contributions to open source projects

Responsibilities:

• Lead QA engineers into developing performance & functional test plans and test scenarios using requirements and product documentation while specifying testing overview, approach, strategy, scope, architecture, environment, roles and responsibilities
• Scope projects and estimate testing needs
• Design and implement testing methods for both end to end, and individual service layers of the application stack
• Identify bottlenecks in functionality and performance, and provide actionable information and suggestions based on analysis of testing results
• Communicate technical information clearly with both technical and non-technical teams
• Work closely with development engineers and management in a fast-paced technical environment

Requirements:

• 4-7 years experience in Quality Assurance of IT products
• Hands on experience in Test Automation using Selenium
• Experience Leading Testing Teams in both Manual and Automation Testing.
• Strong work ethic and accountability on Quality Assurance
• Experience in building SCRUM/Agile skills within the Testing Team
• Exercise independent thought and judgement and adapt to new tasks
• Experience in Performance Testing is mandatory.
• Experience in Security Testing is a plus, but not mandatory

• Execute and manage the company’s brand strategy as well as corresponding brand elements in order to maximize the brand’s equity
• Responsible for the creation and placement of advertising that is in support of the business’s initiatives through media planning, creative development, metrics, market research, and vendor management.
• Drive programs and projects across the various customer touch points to drive customer consideration and trust for our products
• Execute aggressive multi-channel marketing plans to drive customer acquisition and retention
• Take ownership of the brands voice by defining guidelines and best practices across products and platforms
• Work with digital teams to create digital first assets that can help drive acquisition & engagement
• Establish metrics for the purpose of measuring campaign effectiveness against KPI’s.
• The role will report to the Head of Brand marketing

7. Arrange meetings for senior management with prospective clients
8. Follow company guidelines and procedures for acquisition of customers, submission of tenders etc.
