Role Overview

We're looking for experienced Data Engineers who can independently design, build, and manage scalable data platforms. You'll work directly with clients and internal teams to develop robust data pipelines that support analytics, AI/ML, and operational systems.

You’ll also play a mentorship role and help establish strong engineering practices across our data projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale, distributed data pipelines (batch and streaming)
• Implement scalable data models, warehouses/lakehouses, and data lakes
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability
• Ensure code is clean, modular, tested, and documented
• Contribute to architecture, tooling decisions, and platform setup
• Review code/design and mentor junior engineers

Must-Have Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL
• Solid grasp of ETL/ELT, data modeling (OLTP & OLAP), and stream processing
• Hands-on experience with frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, etc.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Ability to debug and scale data pipelines in production

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure also fine)
• Exposure to Databricks, dbt, or similar tools
• Understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and observability
• Certifications (e.g., AWS Data Analytics, Solutions Architect, Databricks) are a bonus

Responsibilities:

> Collaborate on high-quality web applications using PHP (Laravel) and frontend frameworks like ReactJS/VueJS.

> Assist in designing secure RESTful APIs and conduct API testing with tools like Postman.

> Contribute to test case creation and maintenance (PHPUnit/FeatureUnit).

Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint activities.

> 1 to 2 years of Full Stack development experience with a focus on PHP (Laravel).

> Strong understanding of RESTful API design and frontend technologies.

> Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

> Familiarity with version control (Git) and JIRA software.

> Experience with 3rd party integrations and payment gateways.

• Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to provide platform features and components to support Ingenio’s business objectives.
• Participate in the design and development of the company’s e-commerce layer.
• Translate Product requirements into scalable technical solutions, write high-quality code, conduct unit testing, provide technical leadership, and communicate project status to team members and stakeholders.
• Influence technical debt by re-designing components and adopting new technologies 

What You'll Need To Be Successful

• 4 - 8 years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in C# and .NET framework.
• Expertise in developing services (SOAP-WCF and REST) and web development frameworks like ASP.NET MVC.
• Good knowledge of database concepts and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, design patterns, concurrency, algorithms, and software design
• Research and evaluate new software, frameworks, and techniques to provide recommendations to the division.
• Design and develop robust and scalable software components.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field.
