Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) – Credit Card Platform (Team Lead)

What you'll do:

• Perform complex application programming activities with an emphasis on mobile development: Angular, Node, TypeScript, JavaScript, Apache Cordova, RESTful APIs and more
• Assist in the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other engineers on different permutations to find the best solution possible
• Own the quality of code and do your own testing. Automate feature testing and contribute UI testing framework
• Become a subject matter expert for our mobile applications
• Deliver amazing solutions to production that knock everyone’s socks off
• Mentor junior developers on the team

Basic Qualifications: 

• Minimum B.S. / M.S. Computer Science or related discipline from accredited college or University
• At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering web applications with Angular, Node, Typescript, IONIC and JavaScript
• At least 2 years of experience building iOS-based applications utilizing hybrid technologies
• At least 2 years of experience with AWS and/or Openshift
• Experience integrating with native device API’s (iOS)
• Experience with front-end and/or mobile-specific testing frameworks
• Strong experience in object-oriented design and development
• Knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Excellent sense of web design, passionate about creating and refining great mobile user experiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet established timelines  
• Strong collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with Apache Cordova framework
• Built or maintained custom Cordova plugin

• Demonstrable knowledge of native coding background in iOS

• Understanding of Apple certificate and profile management
• Experience developing and deploying applications within Kubernetes based containers
• Experience in Agile and SCRUM development techniques

• Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and ensure a smooth review process.
• Maintain accurate records of quality checks and provide regular reports on the status of design approvals.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure timelines are met without compromising on quality.
• Suggest improvements to the quality assurance process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for the successful delivery of a scalable and flexible billing platform and workflows related to accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead the core Engineering activities in an Agile model
• Participate in the overall design and development discussions
• Work closely with the Product Management team to establish product and engineering roadmaps.
• Provide architectural and technical guidance to the team and ensure they follow sound engineering practices
• Demonstrate accountability towards intended business outcomes, by working with product management and other functional teams.
• Lead the billing, account receivables and account payables automation and workflows implementation.

Person Specification:

• 10+ years of overall SDLC experience with 6+ years of experience managing cloud application/platform engineering teams.
• Hands-on with at least of one cloud of the platforms, AWS or GCP
• Experience developing the usage/subscription based billing for SaaS products.
• Exposure to design and development of microservices optimized for scalability and speed
• Experience developing the horizontally scalable distributed systems, streaming data pipelines
• Hands-on experience of implementation of highly available, low latency and robust cloud services.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Knowledge of finance processes
• Strong in CS fundamentals (object oriented analysis, data structures, algorithms)
• Salesforce sales and revenue cloud knowledge
• NetSuite, Salesforce, Freshdesk integration experience
• Working experience with any of the enterprise cloud platforms or applications.

• Strong knowledge of MERN stack (MongoDB, Express JS, React JS, Node JS, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, SASS)
• You will also need to interact with mysql databases.
• Develop user interfaces for modern rich internet applications with the latest front-end technologies
• Should have knowledge of of consuming and creating APIs
• Developing features to enhance the user experience.
• Should have excellent in-depth knowledge of Nodejs and MongoDB
