Ideal Candidate

6-8 Years of Experience

Passion for writing Vanilla JavaScript

Strong knowledge and experience in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Work Experience with TypeScript

Deep understanding of the DOM, Browser Events, JavaScript APIs, Canvas rendering, etc.

Deep understanding of how the browsers work.

Regard for optimizations that focus on delivering content to the user as quickly as possible.

Awesome Debugging Skills.

Passion to write automated tests to verify the working of libraries (You can’t possibly verify things on all devices and all browsers manually). We use Cypress for this.

Understanding the similarities and differences across browsers (young and old).

Experience in writing modular JavaScript code

Knowledge of high-level programming concepts like promises, and data-binding.

Passion to stay up to date with the constantly evolving world of front-end development.

• Work in collaboration with the application team and integration team to design, create, and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture and data structures for Data Lake/Data Warehouse.
• Work with stakeholders including the Sales, Product, and Customer Support teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data analytics needs.
• Assemble large, complex data sets from third-party vendors to meet business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and AWS technology.
• Streamline existing and introduce enhanced reporting and analysis solutions that leverage complex data sources derived from multiple internal systems.

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Proficiency in Linux.
• Must have SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as familiarity with databases including Mysql, Mongo, Cassandra, and Athena.
• Must have experience with Python/Scala.
• Must have experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark.
• Must have experience with Apache Airflow.
• Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools like AWS Glue.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift.

Position: React/Redux Frontend Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate with his Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering, Automation, or an adjacent field with experience in Maritime Systems is also welcome. Alternatively experienced electrical officers with maritime experience/ Naval experience with exposure to the above areas are welcome

Prior work experience in the Maritime Industry preferably with strong competence in some or all of the below is desirable :

• Marine Automation, Marine Electrical Systems
• Communication Systems, NAVCOM systems
• Experience in working with PLCs, RTU, Gateway, Edge Devices/ Data Loggers
• Systems operation and maintenance
• In-Depth knowledge of maintenance, commissioning of Marine Electrical and NAVCOM Systems Ability to carry out in-depth troubleshooting and guide vessels for effective case resolutions
• Work Experience as an Electrical/ Technical Superintendent will be a Plus
• Prior experience in the review of the vessel's drawings and machinery specification a must
• Carry out vessel inspection visits as required, Supervise retrofit installations during digital automation & Smart Ship Platform implementation.

Educational Qualification

• Strong object oriented concepts. Experience in structure object oriented modelling with preferred expertise in using tools like Enterprise Architect or similar. Experience in working with TOGAF standards is preferred.
• Experience in architecting the technical scale and scope of high volume, scalable enterprise software solutions including logical and physical landscape requirements with specific attention to design, development, and deployment strategies
• Capability to adapt, learn and work with multiple technology platforms. 
• Knowledge in Application Security including Information security principles & realization, OWASP & PCI DSS Compliance ( Security Design & Technology Skills )
• In depth knowledge and experience in large scale database management, data modelling and database design in RDBMS and NoSQL.
• Experience in recommending and implementing DevOps tools for enterprise projects.
• Capability to evaluate tools, technologies and processes, including assessing their strategic benefit in the solution.
• Willingness to work hands-on with engineers to review, troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently.
