About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer with system design expertise to architect and build scalable data pipelines and optimize big data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, Hive, and Spark
• Architect scalable big data solutions with strong system design principles
• Build and optimize workflows using Apache Airflow
• Implement data modeling, integration, and warehousing solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer with Python, Hive, and Spark
• Strong hands-on experience with Java
• Advanced SQL and Hadoop experience
• Expertise in Apache Airflow
• Strong understanding of data modeling, integration, and warehousing
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• System design knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Good to Have

• Docker and containerization experience
• Knowledge of Apache Beam, Apache Flink, or similar frameworks
• Cloud platform experience.

Strong and with deep understanding of angular 12 and above, and commonly used angular modules.

Strong in HTML 5, JavaScript, and CSS including SASS, LESS, etc.

Should be able to create reusable, testable components with high code quality.

Should have experience in building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets.

As a Backend Engineer you will be responsible for creating REST APIs which are used to drive the User Interface. Given the nature of the application, these APIs need to be very efficient and high performing. This requires optimizing queries for faster execution and introducing database changes that may be required. Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, implement and maintain application software
• Take part in software and architectural development activities
• Debug application issues and helping support respond to client queries
• Participate in application development meetings
• Provide accurate estimates, clearly communicate status of tasks and identification of risks
• Commitment to accomplishing the task at hand and identify the fastest and most reliable way to solve a problem

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience with Java and Spring frameworks.
• Having good knowledge in a scripting language like python is a plus
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate/ ORM
• Understanding of relational database and normal forms
• Understanding of NoSQL / RDBMS (Mongo or Postgres) and ability to write optimized and high performing queries
• Strong understanding of Java concurrency, concurrency patterns, experience building thread safe code
• Experience building RESTful web services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience with GIT as a VCS, Unix based systems
• Experience with NoSQL Database is a plus
