Job Overview: The Quality Control Specialist in Image Captioning is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and quality of captions produced by the captioning team. This role requires a meticulous approach to content review, an excellent understanding of grammar and style, and strong problem-solving skills to maintain high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

 • Review and edit image captions to ensure they meet quality standards and style guidelines.

 • Provide constructive feedback to production resources to help improve the quality of caption outputs.

 • Track and document errors and trends in caption quality to help refine production processes.

 • Collaborate with team leads and content managers to update style guides and training materials based on observed trends and errors.

 • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated with the latest best practices in content quality control.

 • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs.

 • Ensure compliance with deadlines, and manage priorities to handle high volumes of content effectively.

Qualifications: 

 • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Journalism, or related field.

 • Experience in content editing, proofreading, or a similar QC role, preferably within a digital media environment.

 • Superior knowledge of English, including grammar rules, vocabulary, and stylistic nuances with C2 certification. 

Preferred Skills:

 • Ability to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and deviations from guidelines in corrected captions.

 • Capability to provide constructive feedback to improve caption quality and adherence to guidelines.

 • Competence in using search engines to verify facts or identify unfamiliar objects or contexts in images.

 • Ability to analyze multiple aspects of a caption, such as context, accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.

 • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey feedback.

 • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

 • Experience in training or mentorship roles, providing guidance to others.

Work Type: Remote or In-office, Full-time.

Shift timings are either 9 AM to 6 PM IST or 2 PM to 10 PM IST.

Responsibilities:

Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and look forward to automating them Create comprehensive test plans and execute them Support the development team in troubleshooting or addressing issues with applications and dev/test environments and do functional Cross-browser testing. Work in an agile team and adhere to agile best practices Maintain existing test frameworks/cases To use several testing techniques to track and address any discovered issues. 1K Kirana Bazaar (1K) is building Bharat's first hyperlocal offline-online distribution platform. What will you be driving with the team?

To build full-stack solutions for retail & supply chain from managing purchases to selling products to end consumers. You will work on solving some of the complex problems of the retail industry.

Your core responsibilities:

• Solve complex problems and follow good coding practices and complying with existing quality standards.
• Evaluate existing engineering processes and recommend improvements.
• Setup high-quality standards in production running code by performing diligent code reviews and rigorous unit test coverage.
• Brainstorm (sometimes, even prototype) features with the rest of the team based on your knowledge of the codebase.
• And of course, there's always bugs to fix, based on your personal experience or feedback from the team and the 1K community.

What will help you thrive in this role? 

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• 6 month+ experience in software development.
• Knowledge of programming languages.
• Should possess a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design.

Role Description - 

 

§ Execute tasks assigned by reporting manager and/or Bedford SPOC 

§ Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns 

§ Audit and report discrepancies/inconsistencies in Tableau reports/dashboards 

§ Publish weekly/monthly reports in pre-defined format and frequency to reporting manager

 

Job Purpose - 

§ Prepare reports using Tableau for delivery to clients 

§ Adjust parameters and prepare custom reports using previously built dashboards. 

§ Print reports to PDF and deliver to folders on a predetermined schedule 

§ Become familiar with Tableau - our clients, created workbooks, parameters, filters, and databases 

§ QA existing dashboards and look for inconsistencies in naming, filters, charts, tables, etc
