Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and completely own high-performance backend systems.
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient system designs.
- Own database schema design and optimization for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Guide and mentor junior team members .
- Explore and experiment with Generative AI capabilities for product innovation.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high engineering standards.
Must-Have Skills:
- 2–5 years of experience in backend development at a product-based company.
- Strong expertise in database design and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience building multiple production-grade applications.
- Solid programming fundamentals and logical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Python or Ruby on Rails (one is mandatory).
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools, APIs, or projects.
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal side projects.
- Exposure to frontend basics (React, Vue, or similar) is a plus.
- Exposure to containerization, cloud deployment, or CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with engineering, design and product teams to design and ship new
features. Identify and solve bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Desirable Qualifications:
● Deep knowledge of Ruby on Rails (RoR) practices and commonly used modules; deep
understanding of RoR internals like databases, API, caching, proxies, web services,
performance and scalability.
● Experience creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
● Experience in SQL and NoSql databases in production environments. Experience
working with Git, AWS/GCP.
● Good communication skills
● 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer




Requirements and Qualifications :
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 3-5 years of experience with Ruby and the Rails framework
- 3-5 years of experience with Git and Github
- 3-5 years of experience with SQL backends, preferably MongoDB, PostGre SQL
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Rspec
- Knowledge of Docker and docker-based deployment
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Senior Software Engineer
