You will be working on complex data migrations, modernizing legacy applications and building new applications on the cloud for large enterprise and/or growth stage startups. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly into mission critical projects directly interacting with business stakeholders, customer’s technical teams and MongoDB solutions Architects

What you will do

• Own backend features and migration workstreams end to end, from understanding the existing codebase and data model to delivering production-ready implementations.
• Build and enhance Java/Spring Boot services used in modernization, migration, and cloud transformation projects.
• Design and implement backend flows that are safe under retries and partial failures, with clear thinking around validation, transaction boundaries, idempotency, and downstream side effects.
• Work across application, database, and deployment layers to improve reliability, maintainability, and operational visibility.
• Model data based on access patterns and business workflows, with sound choices around schema design, indexing, and query performance.
• Investigate production issues using logs, request traces, database state, and service behavior; identify root causes and implement durable fixes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customer engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on mission-critical projects.
• Write clean, modular, testable code and participate actively in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, design discussions, and release activities.

What we’re looking for

• 4–7 years of backend engineering experience, with strong hands-on delivery in Java-based systems.
• Solid experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservice-style backend development.
• Demonstrated ownership of at least one meaningful backend service or feature area in production.
• Strong understanding of backend engineering fundamentals, including service reliability, data consistency, failure handling, and production-grade design considerations.
• Strong database fundamentals, including schema design, query writing, indexing, and performance reasoning.
• Strong depth in MongoDB or a relational database such as Oracle, with working comfort across both styles being a plus.
• Ability to investigate and resolve real production issues across services and databases, including consistency, performance, and reliability problems.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Proficiency with Git, including branching, code review workflows, and conflict resolution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and customers.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working on legacy modernization, data/service migrations, or decomposition of existing systems into cleaner service boundaries.
• Exposure to both MongoDB and relational databases, including query tuning, indexing, and production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL or migration of logic from database-heavy systems into service-layer Java code.
• Exposure to CI/CD deployment and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Primary Responsibilities:

Developer for IT Regulatory team, work with the development manager and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop moderately complex technical solutions.

Work collaboratively with the team to support existing functionality and build, implement, and support new solutions.

Draft and review technical diagrams, specifications documents and required project documentation.

Conduct code reviews of other developers.

Share experience and knowledge with the team to improve productivity & delivery timelines.

Continuously seek ways to improve our existing architecture, advises on complex code deficiencies, provides systemic proposals, and promote efficiencies where necessary.

Job Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in computer science or technology discipline

5+ years of Core Java Development experience & Integration Technologies (Spring, MQ, JSON, XML, SOAP).

Experience writing SQL queries (DB2, Snowflake).

Crystal reports/Excel Writer/Aspose.

Working knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Unix Shell, Python).

Experience working with source code repositories (Bitbucket, GitHub)

JavaScript, Angular is a plus.

Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Design & Programming, Enterprise Architecture Patterns and GoF design.

A flexible, tenacious team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, able to build collaborative relationships with globally distributed teams.

Strong analytical and design skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills; Able to communicate with different stakeholders effectively.

Experience developing technical solutions in Investment Management industry.

Understanding of portfolio accounting concepts and trade lifecycle

Position: Backend Developer

Organization: A Funded global healthcare platform connecting doctors, thereby enabling exchange of information on a quick and real time basis, founded in the year 2013.Currently there are 3 lakh doctors using this platform and everyday there are 400 new doctors joining it.

The platform promotes exchange of viewpoints, ideas, and information on various medical practices amongst healthcare professionals. This saves both time and money as solutions to several health issues can be accessed on a real time basis. There are 1.3 million registered doctors and 400+ daily publications on its platform and they operate across 16+countries.

Roles & Responsibilities

You’re Awesome At -

• Have strong experience in Python (FLASK framework).
• Have a Deep understanding of how RESTful APIs work.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns that can work at scale.
• Sound knowledge of NoSQL/SQL Databases (Mongo DB preferred).
• Strong experience with at-Cloud technology, preferably AWS or GCP, or Azure.
• Core experience in developing complex backend systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passionate about application scalability, availability, reliability, and security.

Your Academic Qualifications -

BE/BTech in Computer Science preferred.

2-4 Years of experience in Backend Development.

• Work closely with stakeholders and product managers to translate user needs and business requirements into visual designs that are minimalistic, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.  
• Design for different industry sectors and master in visual design.
• Implement visual principles and experiment with typography, colors and labelling layouts.
• Collaborate and review designs with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception for a better user experience.
• Present and obtain approvals from design leaders, project stakeholders, and end-users to drive your designs to success.

• B.Des/M.Des or equivalent experience in packaging or graphic design with an amazing design portfolio. 1+ years of experience in packaging or graphic design.
• Proficient in abode creative suite.
• A good storyteller who generates empathy, craft a vision, design for impact, using written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skill
• A problem solver with ideas that challenge the status quo, together with the persistence – to bring them to life.

Responsibilities:          

• Designing and developing user interfaces using AngularJS/Angular best practices.
• Adapting interface for modern internet applications using the latest front-end technologies.
• Writing JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Developing product analysis tasks.
• Making complex technical and design decisions for AngularJS/Angular projects.
• Developing application codes and unit tests in AngularJS, Angular, Micro-frontend architecture, and Rest Web Services.

Qualifications   

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related background
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience with JavaScript (Particularly ES6), Typescript, CSS, HTML.
• 2+ years’ experience with Angular v9 or greater.
• Experience using JavaScript building tools like Grunt and Webpack.
• Client-side unit testing via Jest or similar testing library a plus
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs is strongly desired
