Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration
in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deployment

• Understand how our applications operate, how they are structured, and how customers use
them

• Provide engineering support (when necessary) to other teams who are responsible for
deployment and help them with debugging issues (when needed)

• Participate with the engineering and implementation teams to define plans for standardizing,
scaling, and enhancing our products and the services utilized to deploy/install those
products.

• Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to the management regarding technology
improvements, upgrades, and modifications.

• Coming up with innovative ideas for packaging which enhance attractiveness, improve functionality, deflate shipping costs and reduce overall costs of production.
• Coordinating with designers and other members of the content team to come to an optimal design/packaging solution.
• Maintaining records of packaging requirements, predicting packaging requirement based on information supplied to you to ensure we never have to stock out due to lack of packaging/delayed delivery.
• Negotiating with vendors to get the lowest rates possible with the best quality possible.
• Coordinating with vendors to ensure all requirements are conveyed to them and they meet delivery timelines.
• Visiting the facility of the vendors to conduct a strict quality check.
• Ensuring every single piece of packaging delivered to the office is fully checked and only high-quality output is accepted.
• Teaching packaging staff the right way of packaging the products manually and maintain a strict quality check there as well.
• Ensuring risk diversification by way of vendor diversification - find more and better vendors to continually optimize packaging.
• Proactively coordinating with the marketing teams as well as the product team to predict packaging requirements and ensuring supply of packaging well in advance.
• Being responsible and taking complete ownership of QC of the packaging material and ensuring it is executed by team members in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

• Packaging Procurement and Coordination:
• Collaborating with Design team, Brand Development, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product development and Packaging Suppliers, to drive consumer focused innovative and optimized packaging solutions.
• Ensuring packaging is “fit for purpose” and compatible with FDA regulations/regulations of a specific geography.
• Being responsible for on time packing as per packing plan.
• Coordinating with quality and warehouse departments to monitor and document everyday activities of units and ensure efficient working of both manufacturing and packaging department and ensure continuous improvement in the same.
• Taking ownership of sample development and quality assurance and getting approvals from respective authority/manager.
• Understanding of ‘package & product’ relationship, in terms of shelf life, transportation, physical/climatic hazards and brand identity.
• Preparing and developing vendor technical/design briefs where required, working closely with vendors.
• Delivering packaging which not only meets the required quality and technical standards, but also creates a luxurious experience for the customers and establish brand positioning and loyalty.
• Partnering with packaging vendors, and material suppliers, globally, for the development of packaging components.
• Receiving of material with proper documentation.
• Managing assigned packaging projects, with minimal guidance, working with cross category teams to gather requirements, ensuring packaging meets the packaging brief, Quality norms, and is delivered on time, in full.
• Constantly innovating design, techniques and processes and identification of new vendors to fulfil new and continuing project requirements.
• Conducting QC of all packaging materials and get it approved from design team.

• Warehouse and Inventory Ops:
• Maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Maintaining and monitoring inventory of supply and products.
• Minimizing inventory loss by incorporating best supply chain practices.
• Making improvements and managing inventory life cycle.
• Complying with state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintaining physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieving financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Completing warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
• Maintaining warehouse staff by orienting, and training employees.
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Looking for a candidate with 0-3 years of experience in supply chain with clear understanding of packaging, materials, equipment, warehouse ops and inventory management.
• Must be proficient in vendor management, Negotiation, Quality Check (production aesthetic), Global sourcing, Communication.
• Basic understanding of costing, warehouse and inventory management, procurement.
• Having a superlative sense of aesthetics will be critical.
• Being able to contributes to the business positively and is actively looking for challenging environment.
• The candidate should be energetic, have a sense of ownership and ready to unlearn and learn.

• Added advantage:
• Experience in Personal care / cosmetic / luxury packaging.
• Capable of handling projects and decision making independently understanding on Design principles, and should be strong on project execution skills.
• Knowledge of excel.
