About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead who can drive the development of high-performance, scalable products while contributing hands-on to coding, architecture, and system design. You will work closely with a small engineering team, guiding them in technology decisions, quality delivery, and best practices while also taking ownership of key modules yourself.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development from design to deployment.
• Act as both a technical contributor and mentor within a small, agile team.
• Architect scalable, robust, and secure backend and frontend systems.
• Participate in and guide:

• Write clean, maintainable, high-quality code.
• Own deployment pipelines and ensure reliable production releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical plans.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure engineering excellence.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex technical challenges in production environments.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Node.js and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React.js for frontend development.
• Knowledge of Go (Golang) is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of:

• Distributed systems concepts
• Microservices architecture
• Experience with deployment using:
• Docker, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration tools
• CI/CD pipelines

• Candidate with a college degree and relevant work experience
• 7+ years of hands-on DBA experience with Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL and supporting tools
• Strong experience with Linux is required, including command-line editors, scripting (shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
• Experience in database performance tuning and strong SQL tuning skills
• Experience in database and cross-platform upgrades required Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support
• Must be familiar with RDBMS concepts, practices, and procedures
• Must have knowledge of network connectivity
• Extensive experience with Export/Import, Backup and Recovery
• Extensive experience with Database Replication Master/Slave, Master/Master (BDR)
• Extensive experience with MySQL (MariaDB, Percona) Galera cluster
• Experience with MaxScale
• Proficient in SQL Language
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, or similar Ticket Management Software
• Knowledge of SAN infrastructure including HP and NetApp
• Ability to work on projects at a time
• Knowledge of middle-tier application servers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Good knowledge of Data Modeling
• Knowledge of XML and JDBC

• Experience of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Oracle NoSQL, MongoDB) is a plus
• Certifications on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Aurora

Role and Responsibilities:

• As a backend developer, your primary focus will be the development of all server-side systems
• A basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. You will test, secure and deploy your code
• Work experience on Node.js is a must along with a server-side framework like Express.js
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Experience and proficiency integrating with REST APIs
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience in working with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc.
• AgileScrum development cycle understanding.

Skills Required:

• At least 2 years of experience developing backends using NodeJS should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.
• Good knowledge of MongoDB(Must) & any other MySQL Database.
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
• Knowledge and working experience in Cloud environment - AWS or Azure
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks.
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter without any fear of trying out new things

Skills required:
- knowledge of Linux administration and Bash,
- great overall coding experience, knowledge of algorithms, etc,
- experience with Git,
- experience with Docker.

Typical tasks would consist of writing scripts for:

- server automation,
- container deployment,
- user data migration,
- backup management.
