Mobile App Engineer

Cyces Innovation Labs LLP is looking for a skilled Mobile Application Developer - React Native to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing high-quality, reusable code and ensure best practices are followed. You will work closely with the product management team to deliver new features and enhancements, translating UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect, and responsive mobile interfaces. You'll also collaborate within an Agile team, and integrate with REST APIs, and stay up to date with new technologies to improve development efficiency.

Responsibilities 

• Produce high quality, re-usable code, and ensure best practices are followed by the team 
• Take ownership of technical architecture, coding, and development standards 
• Create new and enhance existing features and code according to requirements
• Work closely with the product management team to produce accurate estimates and clarification
• Develop UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect, responsive user interfaces.
• Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology /Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns
• Knowledge of UI/UX implementation for mobile apps
• Understanding with responsive mobile design
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively in an Agile environment

This opportunity is for you if,

• 4 to 6 years overall experience, 2 to 3 years experience in React Native
• You have experience with building and shipping React Native powered products at scale using Redux/MobX frameworks Android (Java) and iOS (Swift) background
• You have experience in building, deploying, and monitoring changes to critical user flows without disrupting the customer experience and business
• You have the capability to execute rapidly and efficiently in an unstructured entrepreneurial environment
• You have experience with architecture and implementing component-based UI frameworks and design systems
• You have experience working on small, fast-moving teams Understanding of CS fundamentals and how they apply in a front-end engineering scope
• You have knack for writing clean, readable, re-usable code
• You are a great analytical & logical thinker and someone who loves solving problems

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Performance Indicators:

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

1. Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable Java code.
2. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
3. Help in maintaining code quality, organization, and automatization.
4. Participating with the technical team in the execution of projects
5. Preparing the project documentation on its completion.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, OOP Design, JSON, Retrofit, Firebase
2. Strong knowledge of Android SDK & different versions of Android.
3. Application development paradigms, memory management, and multi-threading
4. Comprehensive understanding of Android application architecture, Activities, Services, Intents, Content Providers and Notifications, Fragments, Application Development life-cycle, Web Apps, and Web View.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients at all levels and understand requirements carefully.
6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
7. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
8. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
9. Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
10. A knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
11. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
12. Excellent attention to detail.
13. Good troubleshooting skills.
14. Basic knowledge of MVVM architecture

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

Job Role:

Experience building and maintaining code for:

Android platform (Android Studio, Kotlin, Java, Android SDK) OR

Any other platform, with proven track record of picking up new skills

Hands-on experience with modern technologies.

Excellent Kotlin/Java programming skills

Excellent analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills (battery usage, network usage optimization, etc)

Passion for usability, simplicity and consistency in software development.

Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Exposure to Agile methodologies

Bonus points for knowledge of iOS platforms, hybrid platforms(React native, Flutter).

Responsibilities:
1. Understanding the scope of work
2. Working with the design, programming & testing team on project estimates & timelines
3. Coordinate with team to build assets to be used within the mobile application
4. Build Application static flows using React Native with Redux
5. Integrate JSON web services
6. Working with the tester to fix bugs reported by the testers
7. Building and deploying the application to the app store

Requirements:
1. Understanding of the Mobile Application Development lifecycle
2. Hands-on experience with React Native
3. Experience with Redux or Flux or MobX
4. Understanding of Advanced JavaScript – ES6
5. Understanding of Flexbox
7. Understanding of iOS/Android module integration
8. Deploying iOS and Android apps on Apple Appstore and Android Play Store.
9. Ability to work in an Agile environment

1. A candidate with 2+ years of experience in building high-quality Android apps. 
2. A strong understanding of the full life cycle of app development.
3. Experience in designing, developing, debugging and deploying software for server-side development using Java/ Kotlin language.
4. Understanding and the sound of Android SDK, in different versions of Android, and how to effectively write code for a multitude of Android devices.
5. Excellent knowledge of Android design principles and third-party libraries 
6. Experience in building RESTful API's focusing on integration with back-end services.
7. Hands on experience with continuous integration.
8. Passionate about Android and are always up to date with the latest industry trends concerning OS, devices, applications, web technologies and new user interactions as they are released.

• Transition ownership of existing React Native apps from out sourced developers to in-house
