Key Competencies:

• 2+ years of experience in React-Native based app development is a must.
• Must have published at least 1 major React-Native app
• 2+ years of experience in building consumer facing Mobile Applications in React or React Native (Layouts, animations, etc.)

Roles/Responsibilities: 

• Work on React Native on the front end to develop Android/iOS Apps.
• Write JavaScript code in React native for the app logic. Write business logic using Reducers, Actions and Redux framework.
• Create Android/iOS specific UI for Mobile apps.
• Integrate with Native plugins or custom written plugins for specific platforms.
• Write Modular, organized and robust code.

About the Lead Mobile Engineer Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Mobile Engineer, one who partners with us in
creating beautiful products for teachers, students and parents alike. As a Mobile Engineer, you
will play a major role in designing, developing and deploying high-quality web platforms. In this
multifaceted role, you will get the opportunity to work along curriculum experts, teachers, and
students, and user-test the product in real school settings.

We are seeking a front-end web developer to join our team. As a front-end developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our Mobile Application. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind. You will also be responsible for implementing new features and handling the integration of plugins, and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.

We are looking for a React Native developer with prior experience in building mobile applications. • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling a remote work culture within the organization
• Knowledge of programming in React Native is a fundamental requirement. It would be really helpful if you could showcase a past project.
• Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax

As fullstack developer at Empala you will be building and shaping our product. Our current offerings are centered around a React Native app (iOS & Android) with a serverless backend.

Empala is a flat and young organization, meaning every hand has a lasting impact on our product and our culture. You will report directly to the CTO and will in general be working closely with the founders.
