Job Description: As a Junior Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for creation of test cases and scenarios, test planning, testing of systems, test automation and reporting of test results. In addition, responsibilities will include working closely with programmers and analysts as well as programming and improving testing tools.

Role and Responsibilities

• Analyze users’ stories, use cases, requirements for validity and feasibility
• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
• Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, Regression and System)
• Knowledge on API’s Testing and Database Testing
• Review and provide comments on business and software requirements
• Prepare test cases, scripts, and data for the tests
• Execute manual test cases
• Understanding on SDLC, STLC and Bug life cycle
• Analyze the outcomes of the tests and keep track of the software testing metrics
• Prepare and present test reports 

Required Qualifications

• 0-2 years of software testing experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent)
• Experience with web, Mobile and API  Testing
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming ( Java or Python) 
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Experience in creating test documentation (Test Plan, test report, basic test metrics)
• Knowledge of at least one database management system
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Knowledge of the software development methodologies and the ability to integrate with the models (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
• Awareness of Latest Web and Mobile Technology Trends
• Strong knowledge of software testing types and the ways to apply them

• We are looking for a young and dynamic QA Intern to join our QA team and help plan testing efforts, execute test scripts, and help with installation testing, software, and web testing.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills

About the Role:

What are we looking for:

1. Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and Test design with Saas apps
2. 2+ years of experience in Manual  testing on Web using Postman, Jira or similar tools
3. Excellent communication and documentation skills with a strong attention to detail
4. Good understanding of Python / JavaScript and  Linux commands, SQL Databases
5. Good to have: Knowledge of performance and security testing, understanding of Jenkins, Kibana, Git, JMeter and hands-on experience with JUnit, Mocha (JavaScript), Any JavaScript e2e testing framework
6. Ability to interact with folks internally and externally to gather insights and handle multiple activities at once
7. Ability to think strategically and implement with excellence

As a test engineer at Recko, you will:

1. Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements while ensuring  the quality of the system as a whole 
2. Prove for scalability and performance of a software while running quality controls on components and final products
3. Develop and automate tests for software validation
4. Detect, investigate and troubleshoot bug and production issues
5. Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures
6. Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
7. Gather product requirements (e.g. functionalities, speed, safety standards), 
8. Develop test plan, test scenarios and test cases and analyze the test results, detect issues and track root causes
9. Document technical issues and solutions as well as prepare file defect reports and report test progress
