About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js (NestJS), AWS, and MongoDB to join our growing engineering team.

This role requires someone who takes ownership, is proactive, and enjoys building scalable, high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect, design, and develop scalable backend services using Node.js (NestJS).
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS Services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Develop and maintain high-performance database solutions using MongoDB.
• Work with Kafka, Docker, and serverless frameworks (SST) for efficient deployments.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability across services.
• Ensure application security, best practices, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust product features.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features from design to deployment.

Technical Requirements :

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS.
• Strong experience with NestJS framework.
• Solid experience with MongoDB and database design.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, and serverless architecture.
• Understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.

Good to Have (Bonus Skills) :

• Experience with Python or other backend languages.

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Developer with a strong background in Node.js, React.js, and AWS to contribute to the development and maintenance of our web applications. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and high-performance software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js and React.js frameworks.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to ensure the reliability and maintainability of the software.

Implement responsive user interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and platforms.

Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality.

Design and optimize databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, working with Node.js and React.js in a professional setting.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and libraries.

Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.

Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and the ability to design efficient data models.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

• Should provide technical leadership to major projects, but also build and manage a team of 5-8 top-notch engineers.
• Should do sprint planning and run daily stand-ups and deliver 100% hit rate.
• Maintain the legacy code base and reduce tech debt on a continuous basis.
• Able to handle multiple projects and deliver with stringent timelines without compromising the code quality.
• Work with the product team for roadmap planning and delivery as per the plan.
• Conduct sprint planning & sizing, engineering grooming, daily stand-ups, and deliver with zero spillovers.
• Prepare & publish sprint reports to the leadership team and provide visibility to stakeholders.
• Hire and mentor junior/ senior team and make them engineering champions.
• Mentor the engineering team with your technical skills to write scalable, generic, reusable code.
• Develop and Coach engineers on the team, share engineering pointers, conduct regular 1-1s with the team, and help them advance in their careers.

Requirements

• Having work experience in a Product organization with 7 -10 yrs also in leading a cross-functional engineering team that includes API Development and Backend & Middleware development.
• Should have experience in the continuous delivery process. Ship new features and improvising the code base continuously.
• Should have involved in setting up engineering process.
• Must have experience in microservices and distributed patterns.
• Must have worked on high traffic and throughput application.
• Must have prior experience in handling mid to large-size projects.

• Must-Have Experience in Python programming & Postgressql/ Nosql (MongoDB as a data store.

• Should be good with design patterns and integration patterns.
